"I'm not afraid!" he growled, his fur bristling. Was I that obvious? he worried. The more he stayed in this wretched place, the more he hated it.

Lightpaw woke up in the middle of a strange-looking, very dark forest. There were cats, cats everywhere, who were screeching and yowling, fighting with claws unsheathed. Lightpaw thought this was all unfamiliar as she never saw cats train with unsheathed claws back at camp. Looking around, Lightpaw sniffed the air as she headed inside the Dark Forest, wondering who all these cats were. There was one thing on her mind now: she had to escape.

Scorndusk was prowling along the shriveled shrubbery when he spotted the apprentice. Finally. Fresh blood had been scarce in the Dark Forest, especially young cats ready for training. He pulled back his teeth in an ugly smile, tracking the shecat. She was young, obviously frightened. Training her might be a pain.

Without a sound, he slid into sight and blocked her path, his long, curved claws glinting unnaturally in the darkness. "Why, hello there," he purred, his voice rough and raspy. "What's such a small kit doing here?"

Her confusion and fear only made his grin widen. The new cats never failed to amuse him, especially the younger ones. "I'm Scorndusk," he said. "This is the Dark Forest." Poor kit, he mused. So confused and so lost.

Scorndusk sat back on his paws, his tail swishing contemplatively in the mist. He was seemingly unhurried by her fear. After he had drawn out the moment long enough, he finally answered her: "Simple. You were summoned. By me, most likely."

Lightpaw felt a twinge of anger. "And why did you summon me?" She demanded, tail lashing. "It's not possible to make me evil, I'm too loyal to my Clan, but I am participating in the ThunderClan and ShadowClan war!" She growled.

Dusktalon opened her eyes ad got to her paws. “Where am I? What is this place?” She growled. She couldn’t remember much, all she knew is that this wasn’t ShadowClan territory. She unsheathed her claws and ran through the shadowy forest. “I don’t care where I am, as long as I can find someone.” The she-cat skidded to a halt and leapt onto a path, then kept running. “I know someone is here!” She growled to herself. Dusktalon bared her teeth in rage and ran faster. “I know someone else is here!” She yowled.
