Later on after the clan meeting Ebonyfang decided to go on and get Bouncepaw's official ceremony to starclan. He brought along Shrewstep to be an escort. He was the only cat he really trusted beside himself. Bouncepaw would have to gain his trust first. The Shadowclan medicine cat moved up to the cave before stopping. He turned around to look at the two cats. "Shrewstep your more than welcome to come in with us or you can just stay out here. Bouncepaw once we get in I'll be doing your full ceremony to introduce you to Starclan.", he meowed. Ebonyfang didn't wait for them to answer before going right into the starcave.

Shrewsteps day had been getting better and better. Becoming a warrior, and getting to go to the Starcave? This had to be some kind of awesomeness record. He was still suspicious of the promise of Bouncepaw, and had been eyeing him strangely as they made their way to the home of Starclan. Taking a step back to let Bouncepaw go first, that much he was willing to concede, he followed the other two cats in before settling down to the side. He might know some herbs, but he had no intention of talking to Starclan. They were real, but he doubted they would want him hanging around. Instead he was content to stay to the side near the entrance, to keep an eye out for anything that might sneak up on the medicine cats. @Fletcher @Angelique

Bouncepaw

Bouncepaw was fidgety, hopping slightly from left to right as they walked. He attempted to strike up a few conversations with Shrewstep, but his voice ended up trailing off at the end of each sentence.

He did manage to get one thing out, though, "Congratulations on becoming a w-w..warrior! You must be very skilled to impress Dawnstar like that!"

After they'd arrived, Bouncepaw took his place next to Ebonyfang, listening closely, nodding in lieu of speaking to show he was listening.

Ebonyfang stopped once he got further into the cave. He was just ready to get this thing going so they could get back the next morning. Once they stopped talking he could continue. The medicine cat swished his tail to silence them.

He glanced up at the roof of the cave to pretend to look up at the sky. "Bouncepaw, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of Starclan as a medicine cat?", he asked. Ebonyfang looked directly at his apprentice.

Bouncepaw

Bouncepaw followed Ebonyfang's gaze, staring up at the ceiling. His heart was pounding so hard, he almost thought it was going to burst. It was in that moment, he found a solemn moment of peace.

He untensed his muscles, took a breath, and closed his eyes.

"It is. More than anything. For me, and for my clan..."

Ebonyfang just looked at Bouncepaw with his expressionless face. He was actually quite proud f himself for choosing him. He just hoped he'd continue to be good. He couldn't afford to have his cousin not trust his word. It would mean he would be demoted. He didn't want that. He worked way to hard for this.

"Then step forward.", Ebonyfang meowed.

He held his breath for another beat before taking a few steps forward, unsure of what to expect. He tried to remain calm but felt little pin picks of nervousness begin to spark on his pelt.

He kept silent, regardless, though.

Ebonyfang watched as he stepped forward, his whiskers twitch with anticipation. There was no expression on his face, but he was surprised how willing Bouncepaw was. He was starting to think he made the right choice. He looked back up.

"Warriors of Starclan, I present you with this apprentice. They have chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant them your wisdom and insight so they may understand your ways and heal their clan in accordance of your will.", finished Ebonyfang. He felt good for this being his first time performing one of these. He has proven he doesn't need help. He needed himself.

One day he would fully trust Bouncepaw, but right now he had to prove himself. "Now find somehwere to rest and starclan will guide you in a dream.", he meowed. Ebonyfang curled up himself and drifted off to sleep in hope to talk to someone.

Bouncepaw remained silent, though took in every word, every movement- every change in the air that he could feel. He could almost sense his ancestors surging through him, encouraging him.

He took a few paces forwards, to the side, back, and then down. Bouncepaw curled up into a tight ball, closed his eyes, and dreamt...

Ebonyfang woke up from his dream. He was very irritated. That dark forest cat didn't tell him anything. What a waste of a dream. The medicine hoped that Bouncepaw's one was better. He was the reason why he was here. If no starclan cat talked to him it meant he wasn't approved. Well he would know if that was the case.
