Here it is everyone, the Mafia sign ups. Please know your cat will be subject to harsh training, some yelling and probably a lot of propaganda. But they will also be subject to father Haze, who, in all respects, will love and appreciate all of you. Should your cat ask or show that they are not equipped to handle harsh thing, Blackhaze will adjust to be much kinder and use a different method of teaching. The second and third are Ashenpaw (Mumble) and Coldpath (ghostwriter) respectively and they have a large part on acceptance. This is not everyone gets in, these cats will basically be hand chosen by us to be in the mafia as it needs to be tight knit to work. Thank you for your understanding. There are different things you can do, such as being a fighter, spy, hunter, and anything else we come up with. Feel loose with it, there’s something for everyone. Those already on the Haze family tree usually get in although applying is still mandatory just in case. This group is somewhat anti-Dawn. They aren’t revolting or anything they just don’t like her. Well no revolution yet, we aren’t planning too too much so we’ll see. But still, vaguely anti-Dawn. No one but Falcondive knows of Blackhaze’s murder and even he doesn’t know how many. It’s not common knowledge. Although I may go around asked some people if they want to enter their characters if I believe they’d fit I’d still like you to post an application, that way everyone is on the same page and we can look back to count our numbers.

Name: Quailpaw

Age: 11 moons

Rank: Apprentice

Looks: Muscular but small mottled tortie tom with two shredded ears, multiple scars, a bobbed tail, and amber eyes. He has light speckles on the back of his neck and his legs, and his front legs are larger than his back.

Personality: Quailpaw is a very cold, reserved grump. He's aloof and has very few friends aside from tiny Silentkit, and is determined not to do anything for the sake of others, but only for serving his Clan. He is not selfless, per se, and he's pretty hard on himself, but mostly just focuses on doing. He's definitely a rebel, stirring the pot to create change beneath the surface. He has a soft spot in there somewhere but it's buried deep, deep down.

How well do you know Blackhaze?: When his rogue group was slaughtered by dogs, a Dawnstar loyalist rescued him and took him into the Clan. Fortunately, someone informed him of Blackhaze's teachings before he was indoctrinated, and now he looks to the former ShadowClanner's legacy for advice. (I myself am not suuuper familiar with Haze's full backstory, but I know the basics.)

How do you think they will get along with everyone?: He will be pretty isolated at first, but he knows how to work with a team (begrudgingly), and might warm up to them eventually. This kid needs a 'family' that accepts him.

Why do you want to be here: Since Curator created Quailboi's history for me, this would be a good way to build his character credibility/consistency. I'm also interested in learning more about Blackhaze; I hear so much about him!

Activity: Pretty active. I'll respond within an hour, usually.

Role wanted: Spy, for sure. He's comfortable with feeling invisible and blending in and would love to undermine Dawnstar's reign.

Quailpaw snapped to attention as Owlspots called his name. He gave a terse nod. The training cliffs, eh? Well, it was a start. He padded up to the warrior's small group of cats, his composure stony and unreadable, but inwardly he was seething, muscles tense and amber eyes cold. Who did Dawnstar think she was? Was the Code a complete joke to her? As he has mulled over the shocking meeting from the last sunrise it had become increasingly clear that Dawnstar was out of her mind-- and that Blackhaze was right.

He set his jaw. He has to do what was best for his Clan-- and if that meant eliminating a threat, so be it. ShadowClan couldn't stand for much longer under this kind of tyranny. If she threatened her own Clanmates with death, if she rearranged ages-old systems of training, if she didn't even care enough to groom her own pelt, Quailpaw knew what he must do.

Dawnstar had to die.

As he followed the group through the musty pines, he began to relax. The cool shadows of late sunset fell over his body like a blanket, giving him comfort in the sensation of invisibility. Though he was already tired from his patrol, he forced energy into his paws. I'll push myself harder than ever. I can't afford to let my Clan down now.

He knew what he had to do.
