Sootflare let out a sigh as he surveyed the cats gathered in front of him. The internal conflict presented to him was worrying, sure - those who stood for and those who stood against the raid would surely clash - but the sheer aggression in those who supported preemptive action was more concerning. It made him anxious. He only could only hope that if the clan moved forward with this plan, which it seemed it would, his clanmates would abide by Lionstar's wish to refrain from killing blows. Their leader's words were correct - they weren't savages. Not now. But what was to separate them from ShadowClan if their clanmates went into this raid with intent to kill?

Still, as the deputy turned to face Lionstar and give a curt nod, he held no doubt in his eyes, "If you truly believe that this will deter ShadowClan from further raids," And protect WindClan while they were at it. "Then I will stand by you in the field of battle if you so request it."

Harepaw looked down. That meant he didn't get to join the raid. Or maybe not be able to volunteer for helping Thunderclan. "Come on, Honeypaw. We can't join."

Honeypaw looked after Harepaw. He seemed disappointed, but Honeypaw was in no definite hurry to get hurt. "It's not that bad," they mewed after Harepaw, following him to the apprentice's den.

Fogpaw was a little disapointed, because he wouldn't be able to prove his loyalty. There most likely wouldn't be another battle after this, so he would be left out. But he wouldn't dare argue with his mentor. He was glad that he cared. "Maybe next time?" , he asked.

"Maybe nest time, kid."Koistream sighed in relief, he wasn't in the headspace to argue. It would hardly work in Fogpaws training to be deaf and crippled; it would do them both a favour if he didnt know real war until he had to.

petalwish walked over to her apprentice and said "i know you may be excited by the news, but we should go out in the territory." she herself was itching to volunteer, but she had an apprentice to take care of, so she wouldn't be participating in this battle.

Fogpaw was angry deep down inside that he wasn't going. Everybody else got to go a nd he was starting to think it was because he was deaf. The Tom flickered his tail aggressively and padded out of the camp to clear his mind.
