She got to her feet and said "No." She looked at him square in the eye when she said it.

Torch turned and snarled at the she-cat.
"You can't just sa- Wait what? talk to me? Are you that rabbit-brained? You think we can just talk? This is my territory and I don't exactly appreciate you little fox-dungs walking all over it and asking to talk to me out of all things"
The tom snapped, his tail lashing back and forth.
