Midnight padded in silence, wondering when they'd arrive. She had to make preparations and be off as soon as possible, but Tanger apparently didn't sense her urgency. That was fine. Tanger led a more idle and light-hearted life than she did. Midnight didn't mind leisure time, as long as it didn't cut into her other time. Her walk-across-the-forest time.

Midnight estimated that nightfall wouldn't come for a while though, so she had no need to rush. It woukd be better on her anyways if she could eat up and catch a little rest before being on her way.

Tanger turned and then walked through 3 more bushes then getting to the safe place and the exit then stood by the exit

Midnight continued to walk in silence. Her paws felt rather sore. I wonder if I stepped in a thorn or something. Ah... If I'm going back to the city, does that mean--? She had almost forgotten about Thorn... He'd asked her to be his mate, and when she said no, had completely flipped out. I really don't want to see him... He was the last straw, the final reason for leaving... Does he still hang around with my groupies often? Maybe I can avoid him. Midnight was beginning to get a feeling of mounting panic, but did her best to conceal it from Tanger.

Midnight held out her paw, looking skeptically at the she-cat. What obscure practice was this? Paw readings? Seriously? Midnight hoped it wasn't a trap, trying her best not to think about Thorn.

It wasn't working and a sickening feeling began to rise up in her. Ah... maybe Tanger could tell she was getting nervous.

Midnight did her best not to flinch as the petal made contact with her paw. What odd method was this? What did Tanger hope to accomplish exactly? Midnight vaguely wondered what thr fox must be up to by now. She did her best to ignore the petal, although she felt a sudden urge to move her paw. She hated being still for too long. She was really more of a get-up-and-go, always-on-the-move type of cat.

Mjdnight thought about the two thrushes she had eaten earlier and realized thag she was rather hungry. She hoped that the she-cats would arrive at the den soon.

Tanger then keeps walking after pausing for a second and doesn’t want to say anything as they felt a little embarrassed to admit why they did that “We’re a-almost T-there ”

Midnight narrowed her eyes. "What was that all about?" she asked Tanger in reference to the petal & paw technique Tanger had performed. Several feet in front of them stood something that looked like it could be the entrance to the den. Midnight stared at it with anticipation, ready to give her tired paws a rest. She hoped that the small prick of pain in her left paw would go away soon.
