Sunkit purred happily then stopped confused. "What monster did you see?" she asked curiously. She had seen several disturbing creatures like that stabby shrike bird.

"That's right, you're a fox!" Floodkit giggled. "I'll spare you this time, though!" She gave her sister a playful bat, before turning around to face Sagekit and Sunkit, blinking at the mention of a monster. Her fur spiked slightly but no other signs of nervousness showed, save for a shiver running through her fur. "What monster? A fox monster?" Flood gained some of her bravado back and drifted into a crouch with another playful hiss.

Rainingkit looked at Sagekit. She was a bit confused about the mention of foxes. She knew about foxes but she didn't notice any. "Um", she mewed "how can Gullkit be a fox? I dun get it".

"Yeah I thought I heard a big scary fox monster here earlier!" Sagekit squealed at the thought of it. He crouched low to the ground with his tail stuck between his legs. "I think Gullkit and FLoodkit scared it away though. And then we started playing a game and GUllkit is a fox. " He whispered, eyes wide looking around. Sagekit was always thinking he was hearing something scary though, it wasn't unusual for him to start screaming for his sisters as soon as he was left alone. He wouldn't dare leave the nursery without them either, even the other warriors in the clan made him nervous they were so big.

He then looked at Rainingkit, he had to look up she was getting big herself! "Rainingkit, you'll scare away all the monsters when you're an appren-ice" He said, not able to say the word fully.

"Yeah," Rainingkit mewed "I'm actually 10 moons almost old enough to be a warrior. Rainingkit swiftly gave her chest fur a few embarrassed licks.

Gullkit tilted his head curiously at Rainingkit with a thoughtful expression. "Ten whole moons already? That's impressive!" She blinked at Rainingkit with wide curious eyes, sparkling with interest. "Why haven't you become an apprent-ice yet? You seem ready for it."

"I dunno." Rainingkit replied, shuffling her feet uncomfortably. "It isn't unheard of," she mewed. Whistlekit is 7moons old, no, 8." She concluded. With a sigh she walked back over to her nest. She fixed it like she did for the elders last moon. She would have to remember to do that again. At sunhigh she decided.

Sagekit fumbled around with his paws suddenly overwhelmed with everything. He looked down, too anxious too look at his sisters and his friend. He thought about being a warrior all the time, it scared him but he wanted to be one. Finally after a moment of being quiet he finally mumbled. "What if they don't make me an appren-ice. Cause I'm scared all the time." And with that he began to cry quietly to himself. He was overcome with the fear of being a warrior, and the fear he would never become one.
