Overview:
Hickory is very gentle of heart. She’s not one to seek violence, enjoying the company of others. Though she will provide for the clan as best she can, she will only resort to fighting if absolutely forced.
She is very clever, proud of having come up with alternative methods of completing tasks made more difficult by her physical impairment. She can get very excited, wanting to tell others whenever one of her ideas ends up working. Even if it takes ages, she has tenacity and will see her ideas through to their success or failure.
She’s moderately social, but too much noise can be overwhelming. She can also be a bit difficult, since she likes everything done a certain way.

Background:
Hickory spent the beginning of her life as a kittypet to an older, ailing woman who lived alone. One day she woke for her normal morning meal and found the woman had passed in her sleep. She stayed in the home for another week, until strangers began showing up and she bolted out the door, needing to find a new place.
She wandered outside before settling new a barn, learning to fish from the local stream by watching herons and foxes. She became proficient in it, heading there each day to hunt. On one outing, the resident farmer decided he didn’t want her around anymore and with a thunderous sound, something struck her right forelimb, and she bolted as well as she could away. Limping through the wilderness, she was eventually found by Riverclan, as she’d been attempting to fish on their territory. She been cared for in the medicine cat’s den since, only just recently going out to explore for the first time.
