Fluttermane was trying to take a nap in the warriors den, but it was hard to take one because of how much talking there was. She decided that she should just wait for someone to talk to her.

Adderpaw let out a soft sigh. Maybe she was being too harsh on the other cat. They also fought in the same battle as herself and came out looking worse for wear. The compliment as well weighed heavy on her already heavy soul. She slowly closed her eyes and held them shut for a little while. "I'm sorry." She said slowly. These were words she didn't like using. It felt like a defeat that she had to use them, she had to have hurt someone to need to use them—A defeat of the character. It also reminded her of Tansypaw, apologizing, and it hurt. It hurt a lot. "I can't recommend being like me without warning you you won't have a moment to rest."
She then got up from sitting and took a moment to go over to Seabreeze and gave them a quick few licks on the shoulder. "I can understand not wanting to be in there then. Just don't over work yourself and make it worse, alright?" She said softly before noticing Fadingsun coming over with brambles.
Thankful someone else was coming over to help she spoke up. "Brambles. A good idea" Adderpaw said to Fadingsun before she got back to work. She hoped that would be enough as an acknowledgement for her thanks. It didn't seem like he really wanted to talk right now and that was something she understood. Repairing this den was going to take a lot of work and having more paws on the job on this was very welcomed. Adderpaw shuddered at the thought of how long its would take to make the roof.

The guilt wrapped around his heart like eels, tightening their maws on it, as the apprentice's change in tone was caught. Seabreeze ducked his head slightly and began to work obsessively at the reed that was refusing to weave into the rest of the plant wall properly. Pawsteps approached but Seabreeze didn't look back, so he jolted in surprise when Adderpaw gave him a few quick licks in comfort.
Seabreeze's ears pinned against his head at the following words mewed to him, not because he didn't like them, he just...it's been awhile since anyone has actually cared about him. The poor feline hardly knew what to do in response, so he did nothing at all. Seabreeze ducked his head futher down, his shoulders scrunching up, lighting the injuries on them aflame.
No medicine den, the poor acting medicine cats were already being stretched thin and that's not mentioning the condition that the herb stores had ought to be at this point. Oh. A thought appeared in mind and with a look over to the prey pile it was confirmed. The pile was a decent size but with the amount of warriors and apprentices that wouldn't be able to hunt, would it be enough? Enough for how long?
The tom's blue eyes glanced back to Adderpaw and Fadingsun but mostly Adderpaw. She had just warned him of overworking but he was capable of at least bringing in some prey after they finished the den. Though he should focus on the den, the healing warriors would need a place to stay that wasn't in the healers' way. Also a place of quiet and comfort. Seabreeze shook out his pelt and started at clearing out the den space and fixing the walls with new determination.
As the sandy grey-blue tom looked up at the walls where the den's roof usually connected the walls he realized that if all the brambles were weaved in the thorns would get in the way. Well, for him at least, Adderpaw and Fadingsun also didn't look quite tall enough to reach the roof without using the walls as standing support.
"I think we should wait on weaving the brambles in the walls at those parts," Seabreeze started to speak slowly as he pointed out spots with a paw opposite of each other as well as a spot in the back of the den. Pointedly ignoring the way he had instinctively tried to point with his tail, Seabreeze hoped that he didn't come off bossy, he just wanted to make things as easy as possible for the trio of builders, "I rather not have to watch out for brambles while setting up the roof."
After a moment, the warrior added on, tripping on his words as anxiety filled his tone of voice, "N-not that we- we have to or...anything. Just didn't.." Seabreeze's voice turned into a whisper as he finished the thought, "Want to deal with thorns as well."
"Thoughts so heavy doesn't mean you're unsteady but that you're only getting ready to say "nice to meet you" to someone you never knew...you."

Fluttermane noticed a warrior walking up to her, she recognized the warrior as Blueriver from around camp. Though she didn't know them well. "Hey Blueriver. Nice to see you, how are you doing today?" She asked.

Adderpaw noticed that Seabreeze went quiet and decided not to keep talking and went back to work. She felt like she was working at a good pace which filled herself with pride. A soft purr escaped herself. Although she typically pushed herself far too hard, Adderpaw had to admit she loved the challenge of hard work. There was the added benefit that she was rebuilding her future den. This den was to be perfect if she were to stay in it. A smile came to Adderpaw's face finding her own thoughts amusing. Perfect for Adderpaw? No she wasn't like one of those cats.
Her ears twitched when she heard Seabreeze speak again and she nodded her head in approval. "That's sounds good to me. Also to add upon that.. Before you said we should weave brambles into the nursery den. I think that is a wonderful idea but we should make sure that no kit can reach them. Or perhaps switch it to the medicine cat den? I can see us getting scold even for good intention on the bramble nursery." Adderpaw added in.
She then looked upwards and pondered how they were going to make the roof. Adderpaw never really tried to climb anything before other than slightly tall rock. Climbing something actually tall seemed daunting, and to carefully work on it too. "Before we get to the roof, how do you think we should do that?" Adderpaw asked after tying a reed.

Seabreeze paused in his work and looked over to the nursery as he thought on Adderpaw's words. In the moment of suggesting it, the tom hadn't even thought of the curious kits. Hmmm...After a moment of time, he turned to look at Adderpaw,
"Perhaps, we could cover the brambles nearer to the floor, that should prevent kits from getting nicked? Moss, lichen, mud even, though that;s messy..." As he spoke, Seabreeze stopped to think about it before sighing, "It's a silly idea, I just worry that next time the kits and queens could be targeted too. Hurt physically on top of everything else they endured during the fight."
As he spoke, Seabreeze took a few steps back to evaluate the den, turning his eyes to the empty space trying to recall how it was held up originally. The roof would be incredibly hard to put up, especially with only three warriors working on the den so far. Maybe....they could attach a branch or two that reach over the den to lay some woven plants on top of but that would mean setting up the branches in a way that is secure and out of the way.
With a huff, Seabreeze attempted to lash his stub of a tail for a brief moment, "What rats, they just had to destroy an entire den, didn't they?" The anger dissipated in a flash and back was the apathy of before as he turned to his fellow clan mates with a hopeless shrug.
"I never, really...looked at how the roof was held up before and I don't really have any experience with building. Maybe we could brainstorm? I would say ask Birdsnow but..." With a glance across camp towards the medicine den was still having countless of his clan mates visit, some carried in by others, some barely able to carry themselves. An icy cold shiver followed by the trick of his mind, a scent of clover washing over him, hit at once and Seabreeze almost felt sick. Helping collect prey didn't seem like such a good idea anymore.
Poor Birdsnow, he couldn't imagine running a whole clan with no deputy or medicine cats at her side. Seabreeze could hardly deal with the death of his sister without his head falling under water, but the guilt and grief after an event like this? He would have surely drowned by now.
Without thinking about it, Seabreeze spoke outloud to himself, quiet but not a whisper, "If only Cloverpaw was here, she'd know what to do."
"Any ideas about the roof?" Seabreeze mewed as he turned his gaze back to the den repairs. The tom was desperate for any distractions before he lost his head again to grief.
