@SpookyShoomy As I have already said, depression is usually caused by major life changes and not physical injuries such as neurological ones. I already gave you two options to choose between.

@Cinnamon~ Asthma symptoms:
Quote:
Cats suffering from asthma may show signs of difficulty breathing, wheezing, rapid breathing, coughing or hacking, open-mouthed breathing, or vomiting. These signs can vary in intensity, ranging from acute respiratory crises to chronic, low-grade coughing, elevated respiratory rate, or increased respiratory effort.
As for cancer, you should know that 1. It all depends on the kind of cancer. Some are more violent than others. And 2. Depending on its type you might have different and various symptoms. Generally, cancer can give a very wide variety of general and specific symptoms, so you're very free to choose which ones you want to have for your cat.
I suggest that you search for "most common cancers in cats" and choose one, then go and look at its symptoms.
I don't think rotten food can have any connection to cancer. It will only lead to gastrointestinal problems.

• Which symptoms should your cat have? He has a hoarse voice, a little, and when he eats certain types of prey they cough it up(mice). I think that they might even have a bit of a cough-?
• Do you want a genetic or acquired illness/condition? Oooh, genetic would be fun!
• How many moons is this cat? Is it a certain breed? 12 moons old, and... a mix, i think-
• What's the cat past? How/where does it live now? he was abused, basically. he currently resides in ShadowClan
• Has it already some condition/other problems?
• What should the outcome of the illness/condition be? A little bit of a disability and the thought that he truly ain't enough-
• Is there a bigger plot around the illness/condition? ...maybe lol
• Mention: @Wingnettle

Ok, so... there is a bit of confusion here. First of all, if this cats has a tougher immune system, then infective diseases such as white/greencough are less likely to happen to him. Secondly, the symptoms you stated don't really match with a genetic condition. It's not clear whether you want a physical or a mental disability. From what I've read so far, it seems that your cat might have mental issues and the only connection I can make to these symptoms (specifically, the thing about difficulty eating) is a food disorder.
If you can sort this stuff out and tell me something more specific, I'll be able to help you more.

Super mega basic, but would a 50-55 moon she-cat be able to have healthy kits? Would there be less of them generally, or is that still within the normal age range for pregnancies? @Wingnettle

That's definitely still a young age, so no worries about that!

@leopardsnow Osteogenesis imperfectw is an inherited disorder that causes joints and hones to be way more fragile. For a cat in the wild this means almost certain death at young age. A fall from a low height could, for example, cause fractures on the legs' bones. If you plan on having a cat with this condition in a clan, you must consider that:
-the disorder should be diagnosed at young age from the first experiences of fractures, but honestly a medicine cat would never be able to guess this is a specific condition and the cat would keep having fractures after mild efforts
-fractures take months to heal on their own
-kits could receive joint/bone damage even from just playing -> a wild cat that constantly has this kind of problem wouldn't last long. And ot should be still an inherited condition, which would make it almost impossible for a wild cat to get it.

hey hey
would a cat be able to get sleep paralysis? I was thinking about making a certain character suffer from that.
and also, would the cat be able to hallucinate and stuff? @Wingnettle

Although sleep paralysis is not talked about in cats, there is a similar condition called Cataplexy in which the cat does remain conscious but is completely paralyzed for a while, except for the eyes. Yes, cats can have hallucinations btw (it's called feline hyperesthesia). Honestly I don't see why you shouldn't go ahead with your idea!
