the sudden wailing that filled the den was alot for daydream the handle at once. but on instinct, they padded close to rasberrybubble, ushering her over to a clean nest as she explained what had happened. they stayed silent, listening, it seemed she had lost almost everything in her life. daydream could relate. ¨starclan is unpredictable, they play god over us, you never know whats in store.¨ they explained briefly. they werent the best regarding comfort, but they were trying,¨but i do know that killing your way through life wont get you any where. or falling for any cat that breaths near you.¨ they explained. ¨take some time for yourself to relax.¨


hearing the call of ebonymist, daydream was at her side within seconds. they had never been with a queen through birth before, but there was a first for everything. ¨that sbecause youre in labor. youre going to be delivering soon, keep your breathing steady.¨ they mewed softly, paw resting gently on her belly. ¨lostface, can you find her a stick to bite on? shell need something when giving birth.¨

daydreams ears twitched at the warrior entered. it wasnt long before they smelled the slight scent of sickness in the air. it was that season again. turning around from where they were organizing, their gaze rested on the tom,¨what seems to be the problem,wildmoon?¨

Daydream's question was answered as a cough racked Wildmoon's body. The young tomcat cleared his throat and looked at the medicine cat. "I think I have a cough."

Lying on a lush patch of grass, Cardinalsnake was on his side and soaking up the sunshine. His clean, russet pelt glimmered in the sun and felt quite glorious at the current moment. His eyes were closed as he rested peacefully, the quiet hum of his clanmates voices buzzing in the background as he put himself in a calm state. Beside the tom lay a small pile of bones and beside that, a small pile of ruffled feathers. He had just eaten a small snack, one that would keep him energised enough to go hunting soon. The sun was just approaching sunhigh and Cardinalsnake was lazing in the clearing, enjoying the warmth on his pelt and allowing himself some time to rest and become more energised.
The tom suddenly sat up, tucking his paws in and curling his tail around them. He frowned as he looked down and noticed that one side of his pelt was ruffled, the fur messy from being squished against the grass. Sighing, he bent his head down and started grooming his fur. He always had to look his best, after all, a pretty she-cat might be passing by and the warrior had to look impressive. First impressions were very important. Stroke by stroke, he smoothed down his fur and soon enough, both sides of his pelt were equally neat. Lifting his head and letting out a satisfied breath, he closed his eyes for a bit and didn’t move a single muscle as he let the warmth reach every part of his body. Leaf-bare would be upon the clans soon and he had to enjoy the warmth while he could. Soon enough, the sun would be out for less time each day and that meant he had less warmth to enjoy and less sunlight to make his russet pelt glow.
From where he sat, Cardinalsnake wriggled. He was growing restless. He had spent enough time by himself and he had the itch to socialise. The tom was a social butterfly and he couldn’t stay too long away from his clanmates. He needed to talk, he needed to comment on the weather, he needed to flirt. His paws itched for him to jump up and run on the spot. That wouldn’t be a good look and he couldn’t afford to do such a silly thing, so he sat stiffly and silently hoped for someone to come past quickly. Anyone would do, as long as they could hear and talk.

Asterstep nodded. "True," she replied, sitting down. Her tail flicked lazily back and forth as she listened to his polite chatting tom cat. "Yes," she meowed with a small nod of her head. "But there's no better time to start then the present." Asterstep gave a half smile and blinked. She enjoyed small quotes like that, and tried to encorperate them into her common speech as often as possible. "I'm very well, thanks." The female thought hard for something else's to talk about. "Well," she meowed after a few moment of hesitation. "How are you?" That may have seemed like the obvious response after her answer, but Asterstep still wrestled with the invertedness that she had tried to muffle.

Sunmist gave a small smile at Asterstep's quote, dipping his head in agreement. That was certainly a good saying, and very true. "Good to hear," he purred at her answer. "I'm doing fairly well myself." Then, he fell silent, tail-tip flitting back and forth as he thought of what to say to fill the space before it became awkward. The bright tom was not always the most social cat, and thus when met with friendly conversation it often turned awkward. He turned his attention to the camp, amber eyes darting around the surrounding felines and dens. "It's crazy how much we've rebuilt in so little time," the large cat commented, returning his gaze to the molly. "I wouldn't have thought it possible if I hadn't of seen it myself." Quite proud of himself for not falling into a largely awkward gap of silence, he waited for the she-cat's response.

Dawnpaw hated Daydream, but knew she needed to recover from her injury so she did stay put and let Daydream apply the wound.

“Got it!” The shecat darted off toward the pile and gave it a sniffas she searched for something large. A grey squirrel caughter her eye, plump from all the ripened nuts and seeds that littered the ground. She snagged it and padded over to her friend and laid it on the ground. “Let’s dig in!” She suggested gleefully.

Asterstep purred browfly upon hearing his response. Yes, things were well for her. Although she had trouble getting use done to water again after the flood had ripped through their camp and territory, the female found herself able to relax and enjoy the small things in life again. "Oh yes," she replied eagerly, nodding in a rather hurried way. Then she smiled, adding in a rather odd humorous joke. "The rain couldn't keep the shadows away!" The molly paused, tail twitching. "You know," she added, hoping he didn't think her joke was too odd. "We're the shadows, and the rain wasn't the flood..." Shallowskip trailed off, wondering if she'd be the butt of the joke.

A handsome Savannah made his way into the clearing, tail twitching back and forth and his expression friendly. Servalspots could often be found in the clearing during the afternoons, in all seasons - during greenleaf and newleaf, because the weather was warmer during the afternoons, and during leaf-fall/leafbare, because the weather was either "too cold" or he needed a break. There was always some excuse for the spotted tom. Settling down in a corner, rather isolated from the rest of the Clan but alert nonetheless, the large Savannah began cleaning his fur. It was wet with snow and there were specks of mud and blood on his paws from hunting - unfortunately Servalspots' kills tended to be rather messy this time of year, something about the ice and snow kept him from making a very neat and concentrated hit. The scrawny mouse and already half-dead frog that he had brought in were bloody and there were several visible cuts. Not the greatest Servalspots had ever done, but at least he was trying. The tom's warm pink tongue rasped over his paws, cleaning the blood and grime from them and making an attempt at looking more handsome once again. Or at least, looking respectable. If nothing else, the tom wanted to look like he was at least making an effort to look like he cared about what he looked like.

Goosekit wasn’t the biggest listener in the clan, she saw a huge rock, not high rock which her mother instructed her not to climb, but it looked so tempting I’ll be careful. Mother’s asleep and I can get down safely. she began jumping along the ledges on the rock until she was almost at the height of the nursery The view is amazing...oh! I can walk on the roof of the nursery, im not heavy, I can do it! She had a slight cough so when she coughed it shook her tiny body. She lept onto the nursery roof and pattered around before having a coughing fit so harsh she lost her grip and hit the rock before splattering on the dirt of the camp she let out a cry in pain,” OWW!” A cough shook her injuried body, I broke a bone unknownst to the kit, she also had whitecough.
