Luckily for Ferretkit, Juniperpaw was briefly distracted by a thud from outside the nursery. While she stared for a moment, ears swiveling and whiskers twitching, she tried to figure out what the source of the sound could've been. After a few more heartbeats of sitting still and tall, muscles tense as if prepared for an attack, she determined that the sound was only a clump of snow falling off the roof of the nursery. Juniperpaw huffed, frustrated that she'd been so easily distracted by snow. She slowly turned back to the kit and the herbs once she recovered from her irritation.

Juniperpaw shook her head, chuckling at herself. ``No, I was just a little startled by a sound outside.`` As a medicine cat, she had to be observant and sharp. It was her job to notice things - specifically injuries or their symptoms - but it also let her be skilled at noticing other small things. Sometimes, when she was out in the territory scouting for resources, she had to look carefully at each individual herb to make sure nothing was wrong with it. Now, her gaze was immediately drawn to the catmint and a distinct frown stretched across her muzzle. ``Ferretkit, fess up,`` Juniperpaw demanded sternly. Perhaps she should've warned him not to eat the herbs first.

Ferretkit frowned,” Sorry.” He mumbled in embarressment, he frowned,” it smelled good. And you never said it was poisonous or deadly.” He mumbled. He was right, after all- maybe it was a good preventitave for green cough. He hoped so, at the very least.

Luckily for Ferretkit, catmint wouldn't do any harm. Juniperpaw decided to state this as well, to sooth any concerns the kit might have, ``It's okay, but don't do it again. Catmint won't hurt you, but other herbs might.`` She even added a small smile to ease the situation, though the look in her eyes were a silent warning not to let it happen again. She pawed the plant back into place and unwrapped the cobweb from around the deathberry, revealing the bright red berry from its prison. Instead of introducing the deadly berry Juniperpaw held out her paw which was wrapped in cobweb and said, ``This is cobweb. It's used to stop bleeding and is one of the most useful herbs, in my opinion. You can touch it if you'd like, but be cautious; it's a little sticky.``

She'd learned that the tom-kit was kinda slow and that she should be patient when dealing with him. She chuckled watching him react similarly to the way she had when she first touched cobwebs. She knew the feeling. ``Hey, it's okay, Ferretkit. I reacted exactly the same way when I first touched a cobweb, but much more intense. Now, just sit still,`` Juniperpaw trailed off, eyes narrowing in concentration as she worked at unbinding the sticky herb from the kit's paw. Finally, after pulling as much as the cobweb off as possible, she laughed lightly down at Ferretkit and revealed, ``I know, cobwebs scare me too.``

Ferretkit had never seen blood, but from Juniperpaw’s description it sounded scary does it randomly burst from your fur. he wondered looking at his fur awaiting it to explode with blood. He blinked,” You handle cobwebs every day, how does it scare you?” He asked shocked while she pulled it off him. He thought of Juniperpaw as a friend, even though Juniperpaw was much older than him. He didn’t know Juniperpaw didn’t think of him as a friend.

Riverkit was quiet she knew he asked her a question, but wasn't sure how to answer it at the time bring. Instead she just nodded slowly. What was getting her was his name. What was a rojo? Was it an animal or color? Maybe a plant. Riverkit had no idea, but didn't ask. Instead she look up at the reddish tom kit. "Yes my name is Riverkit. Like the river running though our territory or our Clan name." She told him breaking the silence. There's nothing wrong with my name! She wanted to tell him. But couldn't bring herself to. River wasn't a comely used name but that made her love it. It was what her parents named her, even if thy were dead, she'd love her name. Riverkit's and Frozenkit's parents had died, when they were to young to know them. They were being raised by a kind molly named Icebelly. But little did they know there believed foster mother was their aunt! And that there parents were really alive and well here in RiverClan! Riverkit and Frozenkit had no knowledge of that and may never. But that wasn't a problem right know. The two littermates could believe that lie instead of believing no one cared for them. Know they were going to play mossball and get over her whole name thing. Standing she shock out her silver and black tabby fur. It puffed up a bit with her kit fuze. She glanced the way Frozenkit went. Where is he? She thought to herself. I bet he can't make a mossball. She thought holding back a purr. But she ended up looking back to Rojokit to we if he'd say something. She had no idea if he would or not or what he'd say. It was all a mystery. But mysteries are fun, aren't they? That's what Frozenkit would always say. He loves to explore and Riverkit always joins. It was what they did, they stuck together.

He smiled a rather goofy smile, cocking his head to one side. He had never met a cat who's prefix was the same as their clans. Perhaps the founders of the clans, but that was an entirely different matter. "Okay, I just had to make sure, I've never met a cat with the prefix River. It's unique." Cardinalkit said, putting stress on unique in a playful but teasing way. He got up and began to pace around in a little circle, wondering when the tom would get back. Riverkit and whatever-his-name-was seemed to be a inseparable pair,
He could relate, he and his brother were almost the same. Cardinalkit and Ploverkit were complete opposites, Cardinalkit was the negative one who considered teasing other cats fun. Ploverkit was the other one who seemed to have everything in the world to be happy about. "What's taking the other kit so long, RiverClan?" He asked, smirking at her new nickname. Cardinalkit wasn't the type of cat who gave everybody nicknames, but he did meet some cats who he decided could have a nickname. He was in the process of making one for his brother, as he had been for the past four moons of his life. But other than his brother, Riverkit was the only cat he didn't call by they're actual name. Most everybody was strictly called by there real name, other than his mother, who he called mom, but almost every kit called their mother mom so that wasn't really a nickname. RiverClan suited her. It was a good nickname, and he liked it. She might not, but he had a feeling that eventually she would grow to like it.

``I hate the feeling of them, like there's insects crawling all over me, but I'll deal with them if I have to - anything for my patients,`` Juniperpaw explained, forcefully pulling the white cobwebs off her paw and binding them onto the leaf wrap. She had just one more herb to go over with Ferretkit, one of the most dangerous herbs the clans have ever seen. Juniperpaw had much more experience with this herb than probably any of the other medicine cats. She'd used it twice in only one day and she saw what it did firsthand. Glancing cautiously at the slow-minded Ferretkit she warned, ``This is a very, very lethal herb.`` The mottled medicine cat did not dare touch the deathberry from where it sat on the leaf-wrap but she did gesture to it. ``Take a long, good look, Ferretkit. You must remember this herb, the deathberry, and know to never dare touch it.``

Splashkit woke to a bright light shining in her green eyes. Her mother was grooming her,and her stomach rumbled. Splashkit went over to her mother to suckle. Her mother's white fur shone like icicles. Splashkit found a fly buzzing.Full from drinking milk,she hooked the flky and the fly hung limp in her claws. Her mother took her back to her so she could continue grooming her striped silvery fur.
