Brightpaw trotted up behind his mentor, glancing at Petalkit. "Is she yours?" he mewed, noticing the way Linnetwing looked at the she-kit.

The orange molly frowned at the news, trying to remember how she had managed not to finish a patrol. At least she wasn't the only one. Sighing, she got up, slipping past Duskfeather as she was leaving to begin and get it over with. Maybe if she started as soon as she was told, she would be out of camp in no time. She glanced around before heading directly for the nursery out of instinct to see what was up in there. Her lack of an attention span got to her though and she was about halfway there before forgetting what she was doing almost imediately. She paused in the clearing, pawing at a lost mossball as she spotted it on the way to her destination and before long was seen rolling around the clearing like a kitten as she lost track of her goal for the day. Typical Blossomclaw!

Linnetwing was lost in thought she hadn't realized the apprentice had asked her a question. "She's my adopted daughter. Her mother recently passed away. I've been taking care of her when I can. She'll be an apprentice soon though." , she meowed. Linnetwing started away from Petalkit and picked up some bedding that wasn't currently being used. It smelled like somebody was still using it and they would be glad to have had some fresh bedding.

"That's cool! Maybe me and her could be friends." Or... Not. Now that he said it out loud, it sounded a bit far-fetched...

Shaking his head of those thoughts, he padded over to help.

Silversky tensed. Her first patrol? She felt panic rise in her stomach. She had no idea how to handle this. She hoped the other cats with her would help.

Smokekit backed up. "N-no..." She managed to mew. The kit laid down, looking up at the tom kit, fear in her eyes. P-please stop... The she-kit thought. Her ears were pressed flat against her head. She started crying.

Toadbounce was prepared to hit Dustbreeze with more compliments when Jaggedhawk seemed to materialize in front of them, his nose wrinkling as he stared down at the smaller tom. "Come on, can't a tom have a little fun? A pretty girl like Dusty here deserves to be complimented," he purred, offering a wink to the she-cat. He stood and smirked, ears perking. "Unless you're jealous. Would you rather me be flirting with you, cutie?" The warrior chuckled and raised a paw, brushing it under Jaggedhawk's chin. "Aw, how adorable. You know there's enough of me to go around, sweetheart," he drawled, snickering to himself.

His words split off into a yowl of pain as Ivykit bit down on his tail. As he carried on in a slight whimper, Ivykit darted back over to Smokekit. "Don't listen to him, he's got a brain full of bees," she mewed, gently pressing her nose into the other she-kit's side.
