Despite the fury that gripped her heart and the decision she had made, Cindersky knew there was one last thing she had to do. One last prophecy to give, and stars she hoped that the light of it met her eyes when she delivered it.

Paws crossed over the starry sky as her surroundings melted into the moorland hills of WindClan territory. A gentle breeze floated underneath a calm, bright sky. There were still dazzling stars about, but it appeared more like the earth below than the starry realm in which it was truly taking place in.

She had summoned the cat she wished to speak to. Cowtuft was delicate right now, and as much as she wished he had been the one selected to receive the prophecy it had not been written so. Blue eyes watched as Cindersky took a seat, awaiting the appearance of the tom.

The sickness had progressed rapidly, and the deputy knew that he would die if it kept advancing at this rate, not that Cowtuft had found a way to cure it yet, anyways. And so the slate-gray tom drifted off into a fevered sleep, his body trembling in the nest he lay in. Being pulled into a dream was a relief; he hadn't been able to fall into a deep, restful sleep in a while. However, Fallownose quickly realized that it wasn't an ordinary dream. It felt much too real as the breeze ruffled his pelt, and the grass swayed under his paws. A glance around showed a figure he recognized, and he quickly approached her.

"Cinderstar?" he questioned, wondering why she, of all cats, had appeared to him. Unless... "Am I dead?"

"Fallownose."

A small part of her wished to correct him, but Cindersky held no care for such silly formalities now. Not with how the moons events had been unfolding. There was a dullness to her eyes, void of the light that the Clans had perhaps known her to have.

"Do not fret. You are not dead, and your time to join your ancestors will not come for some time. I am merely here to shine a light for you, Cowtuft, and all of WindClan." Your ancestors. It felt... odd to no longer refer to herself and StarClan as an us. But then again, they never had been, had they?

...It dawned on Cindersky now that she was doing the job that should've been done for ThunderClan. Doing what should've been done for her sister. Doing what no other stars-dammed cat in this stars-dammed place wanted to do. It was always her. The thought sent rage shooting through her body and for a brief moment her blue eyes darkened dangerously.

"Inside the darkness, your salvation awaits - the half-hearted gale will chase you to the end. In between the sun and the moon will offer the warmth needed to soothe the chills."

As the words left her, the wind around them started to pick up. Gentle brushing past Fallownose, but with a certain sense of urgency, it blew over towards a pile of leaves. Once the gale cleared them, a small opening undergrowth seemed to appear, with something shimmering only briefly before puttering out.

The WindClan deputy felt the tension building in his body release as Cinderstar stated he was not dead. There were so many cats that he had not had the time to say goodbye to. That he did not want to say goodbye to. It left the question, though, as to why the deceased ThunderClan leader had come to visit him in his dreams. There was something different about her, but before he could ask, the she-cat spoke again.

Fallownose's pelt spiked in slight alarm as Cinderstar's eyes darkened and the words of a prophecy were spoken. The wind picked up, and his yellow-amber eyes flickered around frantically as it brushed past him, revealing an opening with something in it. He turned back to Cinderstar in confusion, but she was already fading from his view, and panic alit in his chest.

"Wait! What do you mean?" he called but was too late as his eyes shot upon, and he found himself once more awake in Cowtuft's den.

As Fallownose disappeared, back into the land of the living, Cindersky watched him go. Her blue eyes were illuminated against the gathering dusk, and soon enough they closed too, leaving the dreamworld shrouded once more in darkness.
