A small scrap of fluffy white fur nosed around the nursery. Blizzardkit let out a small mew. Where was her mother? It was cold! She opened her tiny eyes. The world was so bright and fuzzy! She swiveled her head, her bright blue eyes widening. She could finally see!

Runningpaw had padded in from her most recent training session, eyes dark. Cedarfoot was...an interesting cat, to put it nicely. Though she hoped to be as feisty as her one day, it was hard being a mini-me. She always knew what to say, how to make combacks, and whatnot. What a harebrain. She snorted at the though of her smug muzzle, and sized she could claw the look off her face. She wasn't violent, no. But when the time called for it, she'd be happy to throw a few cats around or off a cliff. Pretty much a casual invitation for her. She shuffled around some durt, padding over to a lone rock near the center of the clearing. It seemed so small, so worthless next to her. She kicked it, glaring at the thing.

Puddlekit lifted his head sleepily, blinking a few times. But a sudden energy pulsed through him, and he was soon on his feet, rushing over to Heatherkit's nest. "Wake up, sleepyhead! I have a hunch that today is the day! I can feel it!" He bounced around and leaped through the air. It must've looked quite strange for a fully-grown kit to be acting like this, but right now, he didn't exactly care. The excitement was overwhelming.

Twistedpaw abandoned the partly-eaten rabbit and walked over to the Breezerock. Finishing licking the slobber and rabbit juice off of her jaws, she sat down and looked around for Curlpaw. Then she focused her gaze on Twilightstar, curious about what the meeting was about.

Prancingkit was sitting outside the nursery with a rock, sharpening her claws, when she noticed the appearance of a blue-eyed apprentice.

Hey! Maybe she can teach me some new battle moves!

But the apprentice certainly didn't seem in the mood for it.

Prancingkit shrugged.

So what? I don't need to spend all my time training, and from the looks of it, this cat has had enough for one day.

The she-kit stood, shaking bits of moss and twigs from her long, brown pelt before padding over.

"Hey there. Haven't seen you in camp very much. What's your name?"

She flicked her tail.

Haven't seen you in camp at all, actually.

Runningpaw heard a patter of footsteps behind her, and a flash of brown fur. What in the? She turned, her blue gaze taking in the world around her. She forgot how much she missed the camp. The chatter, shouting, babbling - it was all over the place! She siphoned up the energy with glee, eyes twinkling. Though her frown, did not. It just grew more confused as she realised the patters were really kit paws. She shot a look at the small cat, but then felt it softening. It would be good to rally up a few cats and besides, it's not like she had anything better to do.
"Runningpaw. You?"

Well, Aspenbreeze could actually admit feeling the slightest bit of pride as she watched Smolderpaw take the lead... and actually lead them the right direction! Only in her head though. She didn't want him getting used to too much praise right off the bat. Listening as Duskmoth explained their tactic, she would nod slowly in contemplation.

"That will work," Stopping as the group would approach the tree, Aspenbreeze would give a small - the tiniest of tiny - approving nod, "Good job, Smolderpaw. You were paying attention." A small jab, but a proud one nonetheless. Lowering herself to the ground, the warrior tilted her head to put a single ear to the ground - almost like she was listening for any activity below.

"Duskmoth, Smolderpaw... what would you two feel more comfortable doing? Chasing? Or killing? This is technically just training, so don't feel too bad if we don't catch it." If being the key word. There was no way in hell Aspen would let a rabbit catch go free, even if she had to dig her way into the warren.

Prancingkit's head connected with the other's haunches with a loud thud.

Victory is mine!

And, apparently, at the cost of a major headache.

"Do you give in, stinky Shadowclan cat?", she said as her head throbbed.

Ow. Ow. Ow.

She winced and muttered, just too quiet for Echokit to hear;

"Because I think the mighty Prancingstar needs to have her bruises looked at."

She blinked, startled to find the cat that had seemed so aggressive from afar was going to speak readily.

Well, I'm not one to complain.

"I'm Prancingkit. Some cats know me as the biggest kit in the nursery, in case you were wondering."

She puffed out her chest proudly.

"In other words, I'm the strongest."

Prancingkit lifted her chin to look down on the other cat, a smile playing on her lips even as she tried to squelch it.

"Bet I could take you. Just watch me."

She might think I'm just an ordinary kit, but I'll prove her wrong!

I'll wipe that condescending look right off her face!
