Fernglow's hadn't socialized much with his mate's sister, and regretted not doing so. He wanted to be good friends with her family so to prove he was a good mate.

Stormwing bit her lip uncertainly, just a little worried. If only she knew he wasn't going to hurt her. If only she understood. Hawkfeather hadn't been expecting company, and she was a little bit surprised to hear the tom's voice - but at the same time, she was delighted he had approached her. And, wonder of wonders, he sounded friendly! Yes! A nice cat for me to talk with! Could this day get any better? The feline wondered. Yeah... didn't take much for Hawkfeather to start asking that question. Although she never spoke it aloud, having tested through trial and error and found that most cats thought it was... well... annoying. Obnoxious. Totally weird. And, of course, Hawkfeather didn't want to be one of those cats. Not that she had anything against them, as a matter of fact, she had found that they made excellent friends when it came down to it.She just wanted others to think that she was fun! A cat who could easily become their best friend, and definitely had the ability to be someone they could talk to.
　
Though Hawkfeather had never been the easiest cat to talk to anyways. Unfortunately. "Flareheart? That suits you! Your fur looks kinda flare-y!" Hawkfeather grinned, glancing over him. As usual her voice was peppy, hyper and ready-to-go sounding. Like nothing else in the world would ever matter but that. Pretty? No one ever called Hawkfeather pretty. And, being the cat she was, the feline smiled bigger and spoke again. "You're so nice! It's really nice to meet someone who gives out compliments like that, because the whole world would be a better place if they did, don't you think?" She mewed, before addressing the second thing she had noticed in his sentence. "And I'm not alone anymore! Because you came over to keep me company, and I'm so glad you did - now we can both go hunting and catch twice as much prey!" She was practically bouncing with excitement.
　
Yes, when it came to the soft-looking, sweet warrior... once she opened her mouth, it was very hard to get her to stop talking. For a moment she just stood there and stared at him, her paws still raising up in a sort of half-lift before she stopped and looked stunned. How could she forget? How could she have been so stupid? "I forgot to introduce myself! Sorry, that happens sometimes - but I'm Hawkfeather!" Honestly, the feline really liked her name. Some cats seemed a little dissatisfied with theirs... even changed them... but Hawkfeather would never do that! What if she forgot her new name? What if someone didn't like her new name? Not that that would bother her too much... she had never been one to care what others said about her. Mean things, anyways. They didn't hurt her feelings too much and she kept her head up high. More nice things were said about her, anyways.

Oh. Littlefoot frowned a bit, shuffling closer to the shecat in comfort. He didnt know what had caused her to feel this way, hell he barely knew her-seeing as they just met. But their was just an urge he had to stick close with Stormwing. "Youre only weird if you think youre weird..if it makes you feel better, I like this conversation and all. You seem more than nice." he gave a smile small. Who had caused her to have such low confidence? He wasnt pitying her at all, as that would be rude. But instead he wanted to find out what was the core of all this and what was upsetting her.

Upon reaching the clearing, Jaystorm purred. "Let's do that again sometime.. Just me, you, and the border skirmishes!"

HarmonyBlade was panting, trying to get over the shock, reminding himself that everyone was okay. "RedClaw, you're getting that checked out right?" He was referring to the many scratches all over bloody Redclaw. Then, the Tom turned to his shocked apprentice, Cherrypaw, and gave her orders. "Okay, Cherrypaw, if you and Icepaw are in good shape, could you please get some food from the prey pile? I think we all could use a decent meal after that..." HarmonyBlade nodded towards the large pile of prey in the corner of the camp, plump and juicy just waiting for a warrior to have his fill.

Hawkfeather! He had been right about the suffix of her name, that was for sure. He decided that the name fit her rather well. After concluding that she was finished speaking, Flareheart took his turn. ``Well, Hawkfeather, it's a pleasure to meet you, too!`` He displayed a charming grin, taking it upon himself to find comfort in a seated position. His bushy tail now lied over his paws, and he lowered his head just a bit until he felt he was as close as possible to Hawkfeather as he could be without causing her unease.

``And yes,`` He started, his tone warm and welcoming. ``I do believe the world would be a better place if everyone complimented one another.`` Flareheart wasn't a fan of the rude nature most of his clanmates expressed, especially in the morning. After all, wasn't the morning the most important time of the day? It set the mood for the rest of the day, and if everyone wanted to be grumpy in this time, wouldn't every other moment of the day be just as negative? This was Flareheart's logic, believing that the mood set at the beginning of the day determined the rest of the day. From his perspective, his logic was completely true.

``Ah hunting! I'd love to hunt with you,`` Flareheart meowed. His tail-tip twitched with excitement, the same emotion that twinkled in his eyes. ``I bet I could catch more than you,`` He challenged, laughter in his voice. He didn't know how skilled Hawkfeather was in the art of the hunt, but Flareheart wasn't exactly the most talented. He could only hope that Hawkfeather was worse than he - for the sake of the challenge, that is.

Flareheart seemed like such a nice cat to Hawkfeather! And, he shared her belief that the world would be a better place? Ooh, maybe he's going to be my new best friend!! Hawkfeather thought with a little smile coming over her features at that idea. If Flareheart were going to be her new best friend, she was going to have to get to know him better. Not that that had ever been a problem for the young feline. She was pretty good at getting to know other cats better. "Really? You want to go hunting with me? That's great!! Hey, and then we can patrol the borders and just talk! Because, you know, I don't know that much about you and I want to. I mean, you're a new friend! Or a new cat. I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new to the Clans??" Hawkfeather asked, her voice as quick and bubbly as before while she stared at the tom.
　
Some found Hawkfeather's staring rather unnerving, but of course, she believed it to be nothing but good. Why wouldn't someone find it nice to be stared at? Wasn't that like, a form of flattery or something? For her it was. Hawkfeather loved it when other cats stared at her, because she always imagined they were thinking such nice things about her. Like 'wow, isn't she cool?' or 'I'd want to have a nice long conversation with her sometime!' Of course, she was used to having hurtful things said about her too. Though Hawkfeather was pretty good at brushing all those things off and pretending that she was okay. Why did she pretend that? Who knew why the tabby did anything she did. "I want to know absolutely everything there is to know about you. If you have lots of friends, what your favorite color is, what your favorite prey is, which time of day you like best... and oh! What's your opinion on Snowstar? And Wheatfur? And Fennelnose?" She mewed, her voice reaching an excited pitch.
　
See, for Hawkfeather, this was the absolute form of friendship. Talking about colors and prey and friends... oh, she had forgotten to ask about his family! But that was okay. She would ask about that later. Probably much later, though Hawkfeather would have preferred for him to bring some subjects up too. Conversation was a two way thing! She couldn't come up with all the subject material. Okay, maybe she could, but... it would take a long time and Flareheart would most likely get bored.

"R-really? More... more then, um... then nice?" Her hues seemed to shimmer with confusion for a moment before the slightest smile broke out on her features. It was like watching the sun chase away clouds that had been there for a very long time. Stormwing's tail flicked over her paws, moving back and forth as though it had a mind of it's own and were uncertain of what to do. Stormwing didn't like it when she felt like that. Littlefoot was one of the nicest cats that Stormwing had met in a long time, and hopefully... hopefully he would stay. Hopefully she would be able to maintain this friendship. "Thank you." It was all she could think of to say, but it seemed right. Thank you.
