Sinder was hiding in a bush, staring at Midnight through the small gaps in the twigs and leaves as she looked on in jealousy. So she did have it out for Annik! Her fears were confirmed with one sentence. She had to go find him now, and keep him away from this new wolf. She meant trouble.

Midnight lifted her head. Did I hear...? She stared in the direction of Sinder. She growled, ears flattening. "Come out!" She roared, standing up claws unsheathed.

Sinder growled at herself. Her cover was blown, her two options were to run, or confront her. She didn't like her options with running either, so that only left her to face this new she-wolf. Stepping out, she faced Midnight, her face not hostile but serious. "Why did you come here." She demanded in a growl.

"And you just expect me to believe that so casually?" She challenged. "How do I not know that you're some spy for a different pack? Maybe some wolf looking to take out Seba for power?" She growled. "This pack has been through enough without you coming in."

Anger filled Midnight. She flattened her ears, her eyes tiny slits, claws unsheathed. "I'm no spy! Why would I be!?" She stomped off without waiting for an answer.

Sinder growled and followed her. Running from confrontation was the number one reason she didn't trust this wolf. "You think you're the first wolf to try this cheap trick. I've been here my whole life, I've seen wolves come and go." She said. "You don't get to just run away because I caught you."

Midnight hissed, not stopping. She went straight to a lake and walked by the bank for a few minutes before charging at a small deer minding it's own life. She leaped on it, knocking it down. She dragged it to the lake and started munching on it, keeping her eye on Sinder.

Sinder kept her eyes on Midnight as she took down the deer, her eyes full of resent and hatred as she watched from a distant. Though she agreed with Seba on a lot of things, adding her to the pack was not one of them. She was dangerous and a problem and needed to be kept tabs on as much as possible. After watching her for a moment while she ate, Sinder decided she wasn't doing anything too suspicious besides taking their prey and walked back to camp, muttering something about Annik.
