Soothed as the sounds of night filled the empty void of silence, West didn't feel awkward at every short bit of quietness between them. In fact, he felt comfortable with her; which, deep inside, frieghtened him. It probably wouldn't be long before he felt comforatble with her even during long silences; but he definitely didn't want to think about that at the very moment. Caught in admiring her for the moment, he was almost caught off gaurd when the work of beauty spoke. His face burned with heat when he realized he had been blatently staring for such a long time, and his eyes quickly glanced away to his front paws. Every so often, his blue orbs would move slowly back to her face, only to dart away quickly. Why am I so nervous..? He questioned himself, even though he definitely knew the answer already.

He shook his head imperceptibly, focusing on the words coming out of her mouth. It was rude, and he was still searching for something to dislike - which meant he'd actually have to listen to somebody for once; not that he didn't want to listen to her. No, he definitely wanted to listen to her. Her voice is so angelic and - He cut the thought short, knowing he was getting off topic again. The inner struggle was extremely real for him at the moment. Once he actually listened, his mind began to swim; already feeling like he was going to mix up the names. It made him frustrated, and the fur on the back of his neck began to raise the tinest bit at himself. However, it made him feel a little bit better and more secure that they all sounded like cats that would be easy to get some-what along with - if he was careful with himself. "They sound like fun." He meowed slowly, trying to pick the right words. "If they're anything like you, I think I'll be fine." The lonor laughed a little bit, knowing the words were true but not at the same time. He'd be in trouble if any of those cats made him feel like she did.

Kila tilted her head when she noticed him staring, suddenly feeling a little self-conscious. She'd never cared what anyone else thought of her before, but there was this small voice in her head saying; Oh, I really, really want him to like me! She thought she'd managed to lock that part of her away and hide the key but nope, it was here and goodness, she really did want West to like her. Shaking her head, the she-cat took a deep breath and focused her eyes on him again, noticing he looked a bit put-off by how many cats she'd named. "Its okay." She assured. "You'll get used to them in time." She smirked, sitting back. Then she tilted her head.


"They are fun." Kila lowered her head and gave her chest fur a few quick licks. His compliment would have her blushing if she didnt have fur. For a few moments she just silently gazed at him, unable to keep the sparkle out of her eyes. Finally she shook her head. "Well, they're not exactly like me at all. Im... Different." She replied. She knew it was true. She was more guarded than the others were. Well, she tried to be! Right now her guard was down- Without her permission. The she-cat gazed around for a moment before letting her eyes rest on West again, giving a small smile. "But they're great friends." She said warmly, flicking her tail over her paws.

West's face flamed red hot when he realized that Kila had read him like an open book; his embarassment getting the better of him. A tiny part of him hoped that that fact wouldn't change her view of him. But, the rest of him blatently denied that those small feelings. I don't care... I don't care... He repeated this silently in his thoughts, over and over again, until he had it drilled into his mind. However, it wasn't soon before he caught sight of her once more and was taken right back to where he had started. His faced flamed even warmer as they stared into eachothers eyes of a few moments before West was forced to turn his face away; thinking he was going to have a heart attack if he didn't. Why does she have to be so pretty?? Why is this happening to me...? He was no idea how he could feel these feelings and be so afraid of them at the same time; he didn't think that was possible.

"Well, I guess I should hope for them to like me," West chuckled after a moment, silently grateful and a tiny bit horrified that Kila would be the only one to make him feel like this. The stars were beginning to spot the darkening sky, and West's heart seemed to drop into his stomach. It was time to meet Kila's friends... and family. If he wasn't already white, his face would have paled a bit at his own feelings. I want them to like me... The thought was slow to form, and then completely horrifying when West made sense of them. I never care about that... He shook his head, casting the thoughts away. No! There's no time for that! The lonor cleared his throat. "Maybe we should go before it gets completely dark?"

Kila twitched an ear at his words, unable to help but feel slightly amused. "Oh, they'll like you." She purred, flicking her tail tip over the ground. The ginger she-cat twisted her head to groom down the fur on her back, still slightly aware that he was watching her. Why did that make her feel warm inside? Kila sighed at herself. Goodness. Kilana, have some dignity! She scolded herself with a slight lash of her tail. I don't like him. I don't like him. I don't like him. She repeated the words over and over again in her head until she'd almost made herself believe them. Almost. She couldn't really make herself completely believe that she didn't like him. Okay fine. I don't want to like him. I don't want to like him. That chant didn't seem to be working either. Kila rolled her eyes at herself before turning her gaze to West when he spoke again, suggesting that they should probably go before it got too dark.

"Oh- Good idea." Kila agreed, pushing herself to her paws. "We'll need a good rest if we're gonna travel long." She chuckled, sending him a glance out of the corner of her eye. Part of her hoped they'd all be asleep by the time they got there; Another part of her wanted them to meet West. Why? Kila didn't really know, honestly. She wanted them... To approve of him for some reason. Or was she reading too much into this? The she-cat took a deep breath and pricked her ears, realizing she was supposed to lead the way to the den. "C'mon Slick. Den's this way." She nodded to him before turning, sending a glance his way to ensure he was following as she headed off.

Hamilton chuckled to himself, following her; the rabbit he had caught earlier was dangling from his jaws, ready to be eaten. The scent made Hamilton's nose flare, and he resisted from tearing into the meat; after all, this had not been caught for him, had it? No, it was for Tide and her family. He placed it down by the entrance of the den, looking around. It was a little... cramped for him, considering his massive size. But it was rather spacious for regular sized cats, all things considered. Hamilton found himself bent over in a bid to keep himself from disturbing the dirt on the ceiling, which may have had a role to play in his being uncomfortable. "Ah... I'm going to hang around outside." Hamilton murmured, wiggling out of the tight entrance and breathing in the fresh air, his chest rising and falling a little faster than normal. He despised tight spaces with a passion.

Ori yawned awake, and looked at the large cat standing outside the den. "Howdy doo there!" He said. "I'm Ori, what's your name?" the cat was certainly large. He was a bigger cat than he'd ever seen. Gosh, Kila's gonna go wild when she sees him. he thought.

Tide smiled a bit and glanced after him. She followed him back out and chuckled. "You're claustrophobic?" She asked, flicking her tail. "I'm scared of lightning and the dark, if it makes you feel any better." Tide sat beside him.
