Streamflake panted, the icy wind crowding her lungs. She dipped her head to take a sip of water from the tiny crack in the river. She noticed to pairs of pawprints, Seapaw and Batkit. Without hesitation she continued, running forward to find her baby.

Soon enough, she was behind the 2 from afar, her ears pinned back in anger for Seapaw.
"Seapaw! Batkit!" She howled, the anger was very visible in the mothers voice. She padded next to her child and picked him up, holding him close to her chest

Seapaw stopped in his tracks when he heard a voice. It was probably Batkit's mother. "Mouse dung" He muttered turning around to face her. It was Streamflake. "Why hello Mrs. Streamflake, why do you happen to be here?" He meowed, a very fake smile on his face. He was definitely in trouble now! He would have to clean the elders ticks or something. Seapaw gulped thinking about that. His ears were flattened on his head and his tail was tucked. He started waving his tail under his stomach, waving his tail was his way of showing he was scared. And Seapaw was very scared.

"Just what were you thinking! Taking a 2-moon old kitten outside the camp in leaf-bare?! And for what? Tell me young apprentice!" She hissed, Streamflake was visibly upset, why would a apprentice do something like this?

"Eep!" Batkit squeaked, much like a bat, as they were picked up. Great cats, he was too old for this! Despite that, he let himself go limp in his mother's grasp. Why bother struggling? The kit felt bad for Seapaw, though. Would he have to serve the elders now? Maybe Streamflake wouldn't tell on him. Probably not, though. Batkit could tell his partner-in-crime was rightfully frightened. The kit twitched and opened their mouth to speak. "Hi!" Rats! That was too cheery and casual! Hmmm...how to get out of trouble? If only Batkit were less of a coward, maybe then he would've had more practice lying. "That was a good hunting trick! All of WindClan envies your speedy snatching abilities!" they proclaimed. Yeah. That definitely wasn't a way out of trouble. But hopefully, it was a funny joke and Streamflake would drop him. Hopefully. Or at least distract the angry she-cat.

Seapaw gulped. What was he supposed to say? The queen made it seem like he was going to go kill the kitten! Why would he do that? "I ... I-" Seapaw just couldn't get the words out of his mouth! Maybe he should just say that they were playing an adventure game? No! Then Streamflake would be even more mad. "B-Batkit's fine though right!?!" He managed too choke out. Great star-clan this queen is probably going to feed me to a fox, he remarked to himself. Hopefully she didn't.

Batkit wasn't even helping his cause. They probably just wanted their mom to let go of him. Seapaw was getting even more scared, was he going to faint or something now? Go to star-clan out of fear? Cause wow did Streamflake scare him.

"Seapaw, im dissapointed in you." She began, releasing a sigh through her nose. She saw how scared the apprentice was and how batkit felt aswell even though he didnt speak. "I wont be telling your mentor about this. However, You must repay me, for that its your choice on how you do that." She spoke. "Please, dont take my kits out of camp again until they are apprentices." She tried her best to stay calm even though she had every right to be searing with anger; however it wasnt the answer. "Im going to bring batkit home." She finished, padding away with batkit

"Ack! Nooooo!" Batkit whined. Not the adventure! Not his reputation! They twisted to sort of look back at Seapaw, hoping his expression said: If you tell anybody about my mother doing this, I will find you and smother you with my kit fluff. Except, Batkit wasn't a very threatening kit, so it probably didn't read that way. At least Seapaw hadn't gotten into trouble. Maybe he'll say sorry to the apprentice later.

Seapaw sighed, at least he wasn't in trouble ... No Seapaw stop! He told himself, he was in trouble. He definitely wouldn't take a kitten out of camp again. Most queens probably wouldn't be as nice as Streamflake.

Seapaw watched as she turned away. He saw Batkit with a strange expression on his face. Did he eat a bad minnow? His face looked he was disgusted by something. Was he disgusted at Seapaw. Probably not, he was probably mad at getting carried.

Seapaw suddenly realized he was following them. He decided to start running. He passed them and glanced a sorry look at Batkit, he then started running faster towards camp. All he was thinking about was how he was going to repay Streamflake.

Streamflake entered the camp once more, placing batkit in the nursery.
"What were you thinking batkit? You could have been hurt! Or worse!" She lectured, a bit annoyed of the kits decision to go.

"I was busy saving the clan or something," Batkit said, crouching down in a pouting position. Even if he was two moons, they still didn't enjoy getting picked up. Their little legs may not do much, but StarClan was it fun to run around on them. His heart wasn't really into the joke. Batkit really liked the outside snow, too. It was so deep and fun to flounder in and perhaps drown in, but that was okay since it was fun.
