Perking up at her suggestion and feeling better about the earlier situation, Lionpaw leapt to his paws in sudden excitement. Exploring sounded fun, not to mention it'd get them both away from all of the chaos. And farther away from Lobserpaw, he thought. What the RiverClan apprentice had done to his best friend was unacceptable, and he would not let him near her again.
He turned to Newtpaw, a grin stretching across his maw as the thoughts of Lobsterpaw drifted away, replaced by thoughts of exploring with his friend. "Yeah," he mewed excitedly, "That's a good idea! I could use a little space from all of this for awhile." He wondered if they'd play while they explored. Perhaps Adventurers or Enemies or something if they did play. That sounded fun right about now, and he felt like it'd help them both loosen up a little. He planned to suggest it when they got into the territory.

“Let us embark on adventure then!” The small apprentice purred to her best friend, leaping to her paws with an excited bound in her step, “Come on, I’ll race you!” With that, Newtpaw bounded off across the clearing, the thought of the cruel young tom known as Lobsterpaw had drifted from her mind and in her head, all she could see was spending with Lionpaw until the sun went down. In her opinion, they both needed some time together to forget about the stress of the clans and the bullies all together for just a little bit. Out in the hunting grounds, they would be able to go back to the fun days where they would play and pretend when they first met. The young she-cat could already think of things for them to do, hopefully they wouldn’t run into any trouble out there in the unknown territory though, since they were, after all, Shadowclan apprentices in Riverclan land. The two of them together, however, made anything possible.

Perchkit stiffened as his mother pushed him out of the nest and into the clearing where Shardkit, his sister, was already playing with Mudnose. Everything outside was so big, and all the cats towered over him. His blue eyes widened as he saw the bigger cat jumping around his Shardkit and squealed, "Rainkit!" Calling his oldest sibling to come help as he covered his ears and eyes with his tiny paws.

Rainkit bounded up to his smaller brother. "It's okay Perchkit." He said uncertainly, "Everything's just kinda..." He gulped "Big.. But someday we'll be as big as Father and Mother. Then we'll be able to hunt things!" He perked up at the thought of hunting and being a warrior.

Shardkit pricked her ears and padded over to her Brother, Perchkit. She nudged him with a paw. "Come on!

Perchkit cautiously moved a paw aside and gazed up at his big brother with one eye. "Really?" he asked, awed by the thought of being as big as his mother and father, who seemed to tower over him. Slowly he uncovered his eyes and stood up to gaze at his surroundings again. Mudnose and Shardkit looked so scary moving around so fast, but his sister seemed to be having so much fun, a part of him ached to have that fun as well. He glanced worriedly at Rainkit. "Will you come with me?" He asked with a skittish tremor in his meow.

Shardkit leaped onto Mudnose's back. "Caught you again!"
