...I dunno why I feel it would be interesting the next time a medicine cat dies not leaving a successor (such as Wheatfur) if the one that the Staff search for have a requirement to have a strong belief in the Dark Forest and not in Starclan...as currently the closest to that is Daydream who believes in Starclan, but dislikes them, and dislikes the Dark Forest. I think a Dark Forest supporting medicine cat would be cool, and like how Oricolepaw is off getting accepted by Starclan, they could instead do what in the book Nightstar did and lie about it or get accepted by the Dark Forest in the Starcave and claim it was Starclan that accepted them...then maybe eventually get caught...and their be a debate on whether to banish them or what for bonding tightly with the Dark Forest instead of Starclan...ya know?

I mean I guess this could be a possibility, but I don't think that the staff would make it a requirement. This would put a bit of limitation on a user's creativity and they could really want such a role soon, but not be able to apply because they don't want to make a Dark Forest-believing cat. So it wouldn't be a particularly smart thing to do since we want to give as many users a chance to get a high rank. Although it sounds like an interesting idea! Perhaps you could apply a cat like that next time

Ooh like an evil medicine cat...perhaps they could like secretly kill cats and claim it was illness...like slip death berries in with their herbs and claim it was the sickness that killed them.
It could be a possibility or a site wide plot...like an EE but for medicine cats or something?? But like Empress said, some people don't want to sign up a Dark Forest cat...

EDIT: ooh but what if there was an evil med cat apprentice and they managed to kill their mentor and play the victim and then yeah...and if they don't take an apprentice so there's no competiton or no one ties to take their place. Or maybe they will get an evil apprentice so they know their place is safe after they die...but what if that apprentice pretends to be evil so they get what they want without being hurt then they can save the clan! Just some sudden thoughts I had that's all
