CaveClan - A Story Of The Mountain Cats - Roleplay and Info

Deep in the Mountains of Stars, lies a group of cats. These cats are strong and fast. They have big paws to let them get across their rocky home, thick fur to keep them warm during cold nights and freezing winters, and sharp eyes to help them see in the dark. The Mountains are dangerous but peaceful. To the west is a vast desert. To the east is a huge forest. To the north and south are mountains as far as the eye can see. There are parts of the mountains that have not been found by the cats yet.

Territory

Snowy Tops
This is the top of the mountains. There are little to no trees up here and no vegetation. This is a great spot to view the landscape surrounding the mountains. There are no animals.

Pine Forest
This is on the east side of the mountains, close to the bottom. There are plenty of pine trees here and it smells wonderful. Animals here are snow rabbits, snowy owls, arctic wolves, and unknown bugs.

Sandy Sides
This is on the west side of the mountains, close to the bottom. There is sand all over the place as it connects to the desert. Cacti can be spotted here. There are no trees and it is normally very hot here. Animals include sand lizards, vultures, rattlesnakes, coyotes, owls, and unknown bugs.

Rocky Ledges
This is on the north, south, and near the top of the west and east sides of the mountains. There is nothing but bare rocks and narrow cliffs. Rockslides are common here. Animals are mountain goats, mountain lions, vultures, snakes, unknown bugs, and wolves.

Unknown Desert Border
This is where the mountains connect with the desert. It is forbidden to go here as there are no cats living in the desert as of what we know. The animals are unknown.

Unknown Forest Border
This is where the mountains connect with the forest. It is forbidden to go there as no cats live in the forest as of what we know. The animals are unknown.

Unknown Mountain Border 1
This is an unknown place where the mountains end on the north side. No one is allowed there. The animals are unknown.

Unknown Mountain Border 2
This is an unknown place where the mountains end on the south side. No one is allowed there. The animals are unknown.

Camp

Cave Entrance
This is the entrance to the huge cave system the cats live in. It's a huge natural opening into a small cave that has been hand-dug by the cats generation and generation.

Central Cave
This is just inside the Cave Entrance and has tunnels leading to the other caves. The Skyrock is located here as well as the Prey Pile. Cats will share tounges and eat and have meetings here.

The Skyrock
This is where all the meetings are held. Most ceremonies will be held here.

The Tunnels
These are the tunnels leading to the other caves.

The Warrior's Cave
This is where the warriors sleep. It's a carved-out area with some sharp points.

The Mountain Carver's Cave
This is where the mountain carvers sleep. It's a carved-out area with some sharp points

The Apprentice's Cave
This is where the apprentices sleep. It's a carved-out area with some sharp points.

The Elder's Cave
This is where the elders sleep. It's a carefully carved-out area with no sharp points.

The Nursery
This is where the queens and kits sleep. It's a very carefully carved-out area with completely no sharp points.

The Medicine Cat's Cave
This is where the medicine cat and its apprentice stay and care for the sick and hurt cats. It's a carefully carved-out area with no sharp points.

The Leader's Cave
This is where the leader and deputy sleep. It's a carefully carved-out area with no sharp points.

The Skylight
This is where CaveClan cats can communicate with their ancestors, NightClan and DayClan. NightClan is like StarClan and DayClan is like The Dark Forest. Leader and medicine cat ceremonies happen here.

The Prison
This is an area where the cats keep prisoners. It's a poorly carved-out area with room for at least 10 animals with lots of sharp spots.

The Resurrection Cave
This is where all the dead cats are buried. It is located just to the left of the Skylight. The dead are offered to the stars until being burned.

 

Every full moon, the CaveClan cats go to their borders and share peace and talk about their lives with the Clans they share borders with. Everyone except the expecting and nursing queens, kits, and most elders go. A few warriors and apprentices stay behind to protect the Clan Camp.

Instead of a Warrior Code, CaveClan has something called The Rules of Sharpfang, the cat that was believed to have created CaveClan. He had scratched out a list of rules similar to the Warrior Code with only one key difference: The cats cannot leave the mountain unless they are ordered to or unless they are exiled.

It is rare for CaveClan cats to accept an outsider into their mist. if they do, it would be because NightClan would have told them to, or because of an omen.

The unique rank in CaveClan is the Mountain Carvers. They are responsible for carving out the caves and tunnels and blocking caves tunnels if they become too dangerous to be in. If a cave or a tunnel would be blocked, depending on what the cave was, or tunnel, the cats would go to another cave to be in.

1. Normal WCO Rules apply
2. Max of 2 cats
3. It's ok if your cat doesn't look like who you are related to
4. Your character will have gone missing after two weeks of inactivity
5. If a high rank(leader not included unless part of a plot), goes missing, they are stripped of their rank
6. Punishments are handled by the deputy if it's a patrol failure, medicine cat if it's a herb patrol failure, mountain climbers if failure to carve out tunnels and/or smooth out caves safe for the cats, and the leader if it's Clan-related
7. Report any rule breakers to either the current leader, deputy, medicine cat, and/or mountain climbers, depending on what rule they broke. If a WCO rule is broken, report that post to a Staff member right away
8. Normal Clan rules apply in this roleplay
9. Your cat, if a high rank, may step down whenever they wish
10. Have fun and don't spoil this for anyone else!

 

There are no Clans around the Mountains that have been discovered yet.

Witheredstar yawned, waking up from a nap. She stretched and walked out of her cave and into the Central Cave. She smiled at her cats and leaped on top of the Skyrock. "Let all cats old enough to climb the mountains join me beneath Skyrock for a Clan meeting!" The brown she-cat's voice carried throughout the caves, echoing off the stone walls.

Smiling down at her cats, Witheredstar clawed the stone underneath her and looked upon her cats. "I am happy to say that CaveClan has been going well. However, I have been noticing more snakes than normal this Greenleaf. So, I want at least two other cats to come with me to take care of these reptiles." The brown she-cat scanned the cats with her golden eyes, waiting for responses.
