Airkit listened, enthralled. His eyes basically glazed over from wonder, his mouth opened a little as he listened to the story. "Wow....what a cool story! I hope I get to fight a fox! That sounds amazing!"

Blossomkit listened, rolling her eyes. Clearly this warrior was overexaggerating. What a child. She didn't like her already. "Meh." She continued to groom her fur.

Adderkit listened. She was already perfectly happy in camp thought she knew many other kits, including Caterpillarkit wanted to leave camp.

Caterpillarkit listened. So... it wasn't safe for kits to leave camp alone? That was all she got from that story.

Hummingbirdkit listened. Mama sneaked out of camp when she was a kit? And almost got eaten by a fox? She wouldn't leave camp till she was an apprentice!

Swankit listened. She didn't want to leave camp anyways. At least not on a day the evil sun was out.

Mosskit didn't know mom had broken a rule when she was a kit. She wondered how big a fox was, and if she could eat one!

"Why didn't you make friends with the foxy?" Beastpaw hollered, an inquisitive spark in her eyes. To the underaged apprentice, other animals were all made to be her companions. Even the predatory ones.

Sweetblossom smiled a bit, she liked that the kittens were asking questions, they were learning.

' ' Now, that was my one and only encounter with a fox, but I remember as bright as day. Now , Airkit, we will get to that later, fighting foxes. But you do not, and I mean never fight a fox. Not even one warrior could fend one off. And Beastpaw, foxes don't know how to speak cat. They are not very smart either and don't know that us kitties would gladly share our territory with them if they didn't attack us. ' ' She meowed.

' ' Can anyone here give me a good, very detailed description of a fox? Raise your paw if you think you can, ' ' She mewed, waiting for the cats to answer.

Adderkit raised her paw. She hoped Sweetblossom didn't notice, or at least not comment on the fact that she was breathing heavily. Fortunately, the almost 3 moon old knew that the fact that her chest currently felt tight and had dull pain shooting through it would not be possible to tell from a glance. She had gotten so used to the discomfort and dull pain she didn't show any sound of pain on her face. Her tiredness would be possible to tell at a glance thought. Last night had not been one of the nights when it left her alone so she hadn't gotten very much sleep. The night before had been the same thing. Hopefully she would get a nap and a goodnight's sleep tonight. The main reason she didn't want the queen to ask her why she was breathing heavily and looked tired was because she had no idea how to explain it when she had no idea what it was thought she did know what it did and she wasn't going to lie. She also didn't really want to tell anybody about it, even if she did know how, which she didn't. It would be preferable if she just assumed she had been running and being active before the lesson and that was why she was tired and breathing heavily if she did notice even thought it meant that running caused a far worst reaction than breathing hard and tiredness. Not that the queen knew that. Even Mommy hadn't known about it and Caterpillarkit didn't know about it. Nocat alive or dead knew about it. And she preferred it that way. Usually assuming without proof was a bad thing but this was a exception to that rule. After all almost all rules if not all rules had at least one exception and she was perfectly aware of that fact despite her young age. (This is much, much longer then all of the other sections of this post put together lol)

Caterpillarkit raised her paw while yelling ME! ME! ME! I know! I know! A fox is really super duper extra big and red or orange!

Hummingbirdkit raised her paw.

Swankit raised her paw.

Blossomkit kept her paw down, and continued to groom herself. She must look perfect at all times, and, besides, who cares about some stupid foxes or some stupid story? She'd focus on looking stunning, that was her main goal in life, and she'd leave knuckles-out brawling to the other cats.

Airkit ignored the order of raising his paw, instead, he leaped up and screeched, "I KNOW! I KNOW! THEY'RE GREEN, RUTHLESS MONSTERS WITH HUNDRED MOUSETAIL-LONG CLAWS AND TEETH, AND THEY'RE MORE VICIOUS THAN THE WORST WARRIOR EVER!" He took a moment to recover his breath, panting heavily. His tiny body provided him with little energy. "ALSO THEY'RE LIKE SUPER SCARY AND EVIL BUT I'M BRAVE SO I CAN BEAT THEM AND PROTECT YOU ALL!" he exclaimed, fluffing his fur out to look bigger, but still appeared tiny. He was the smallest kit in the nursery, after all, even though he was on the older side.
