She hissed and swiped at the tom when he moved to pick her up. "Leave me alone!"

The tom was amused at this. Not even making an attempt to save her, he walked away into his sleeping place.

She remained where she was, and the twolegs walked around her, letting the kitten sleep.

He laid down comfortably, but he could not sleep at all. His mind was stuck in what recently happened.

Firefang made no attempt to sleep, instead getting up to explore her temporary living arrangements.

After some time, he didn't want to sleep at all tonight. He didn't know why, but he got up and made his way outside through the hole in the door.
