Pricklestar turned to slatepaw with pure rage burning in her eyes. “YOU! How DARE you disrespect your deputy like that! You are lucky that you are in this clan, and not a rouge where the other cats would KILL you if you show them any disrespect.” Pricklestar glared at her apprentice. “You will accompany me to battle training immediately after this hunt. I need to teach you some respect.”

Pricklestar laughed lightly. “Of course I won’t hurt him too bad! No matter how disrespectful he may be, slatepaw is still my apprentice. And as long as he shows me respect, I will show him respect. But he will have to earn my respect, and until he does, he will not get hardly any sympathy from me. However, I will be a little respectful to him. He is my clanmate and my apprentice, and no matter how much he annoys me...” *sigh* “I would still protect him will all of my lives.”
