[BACKSTORY]

Beanfloat was born into a litter of three kittens. His mother was a loving and caring cat, but his father was a different story. He was a cruel and abusive cat who would often beat his wife and children. Beanfloat and his siblings were often the targets of his father's anger, and they lived in constant fear of being hurt.
One day, when Beanfloat was just a few months old, his father finally went too far. He beat his wife to death, and then turned his rage on Beanfloat and his siblings. Beanfloat managed to escape, but his two brothers were not so lucky. They were both killed by their father.

Beanfloat ran away from home and lived on the streets for several months. He was scared and alone, but he was determined to survive. He learned to find food and shelter, and he made friends with other stray cats.
One day, Beanfloat was exploring and fell upon the clans he was memorized by who they where and asked to join Riverclan he was deeply welcomed and changed his ways to become a very helpful cat. Living his best life with some hunting memories of his past. Now he wants to do the best for his clan as much as he can. And he wants no one to ever go threw what he had to deal with.

Kithood:

When he was younger he was never really happy Beacuse he was always bullied before he found someone he trusted really much and soon became friends with them before the kit disappeared one day not really knowing where his friend went so he got really angry and just kept to himself.

Being a dark-hearted mean tom he never talked to anyone before he started getting a liking to an apprentice and it was nice that he had someone in his life but the thing is the other apprentice never knew him because he kept to himself falling in love with someone else but their love went missing he wanted to comfort the other apprentice really bad but he was too scared to sneaking out of camp one day he was attacked by a Riverclan warrior and was blinded in his left eye cursing himself and always going back to that moment forever.

[BACKSTORY]

Swanpaw was a kit when he was attacked by a fox. He was heavily wounded and barely survived. His littermates were not so lucky. They were killed by the fox. Swanpaw was heartbroken. He didn't understand why this had happened to him. He was just a kit. He didn't deserve this.

After the attack, Swanpaw was taken back to the ThunderClan camp. He was treated for his wounds and nursed back to health. But he was never the same. He was always scared. He was always looking over his shoulder. He never forgot the day the fox attacked him. He never forgot the day his littermates died.

As he grew older, Swanpaw became more and more withdrawn. He didn't want to play with the other kits. He didn't want to go on adventures. He just wanted to be left alone.
One day, Swanpaw decided to run away from home. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew he couldn't stay in the ThunderClan camp anymore. He was too scared. He was too alone.

Swanpaw traveled across Thunderclans territory until he walked onto Shadowclans soil. He was tired and hungry. He didn't know what to do. He just sat down under a tree and started to cry. A cat came out of the bushes. It was an old she-cat. She asked Swanpaw what was wrong. Swanpaw told her his story. He told her about the fox attack. He told her about his littermates. He told her about how he ran away from home.

The old she-cat listened to Swanpaw's story. When he was finished, she said, "You are not alone, Swanpaw. Many cats have been through what you have been through. But you can't let the past hold you back. You have to move on." the she-cat brought him back to shadowclan and was raised in the nursery until he was an apprentice where he is now.

Name: Riverfeather

Gender:Male, he/him

Role: Warrior

Overview: Riverfeather is a loyal and dedicated member of Riverclan, often over working himself for the sake of the clan and always making sure everyone has something to eat. Riverfeather himself suffers from food anxiety which shows in his fixation on hunting patrols. Riverfeather is the only survivor from his litter. His sisters, lilykit and frogkit, both starved in a harsh leafbare.

Physical description: Riverfeather is a blue tinted tabby with particular markings with brilliant green eyes. Riverfeather has a scar across his nose from getting into some innocent kit play trouble and tripping especially bad. Riverfeather also has a crooked front paw (shown with pink scarring) this was obtained in his apprentice years when he fractured it while on a solo hunt and then continued to not go to the medicine cat until it already started to set.

Additional information: Riverfeather is very introverted, heavily leaning into 'actions speak louder than words.' While he isn't mute he could probably be seen as selectively mute. He is also terrible at communicating, often getting into border skirmishes and issues caused by miscommunication. I always planned his character development to not go 'oh he is an extrovert now, all his problems are fixed' but really just him learning how to communicate his own way which would've been a mix of cat sign language and other means.

Important Relations:

Willowsong - Friend -> Mate; met in apprenticeship. Willowsong thought Riverfeather was strange at first and often stuck by her siblings' sides which were directly opposing Riverfeather as Icestrike (Willowsong's sister) always felt angry at him (explained later). It wasn't until she started interacting with him, because their respective mentors had them train together, did she start to understand that Riverfeather wasn't what Icestrike painted him out to be an she started to be friendly and try and help him.

Icestrike - Enemies -> Friendly rivals; Icestrike, as I explained above, always felt threatened and furious at Riverfeather. This is due to the fact that Icestrike was very close to Lilykit before her passing. Afterwards, Icestrike, being a kit and not being able to cope with her grief, turned to needing to blame something which Riverfeather was there to be the reason why Lilykit died. This anger persisted from kits, apprentices, until finally Icestrike was yelled at by Willowsong in the beginning of their warrior life. Icestrike at that point could see the faulty reasoning but couldn't give it up because it felt like giving up on Lilykit and also she had been doing it for so long that it felt normal to her. Though after the fight with Willowsong, Icestrike took a step back to see that she was in the wrong. Icestrike never apologizes for what she put Riverfeather through but she stopped consistently trying to fight, scorn, and ignore him as well as trying to convince others to do the same, though little friendly competitions still happen between the two.
