The Cardboard Palace [Anyone is welcome to join]

In the alley's of the twoleg place, people drop boxes and bags. Trash. In one alley, boxes are stacked 12 ft high in some places. Its a palace for stray cats, and its run by a she cat and her son. Whiskey and Sam.
They take care of the Cardboard Kingdom, and direct lost cats who shelter in its walls.
Also with the Cardboard palace is The Wall. One of the buildings, an older smaller house, is run down, and the wall is broken. Not totally into the building but to the insulating layer and the vents(which are partly collapsed. The insulating space is filled with warm dry sand (perfect for sleeping on) and the vents are crawling with prey and spots to stay.
So come one come all, strays and ferals, to The Cardboard Palace!

A skinny cream she cat crawled through the vents, her paw steps light, heavy steps would make a lot of noise on the cool metal of the vents. She scented, and pinpointed a mouse crouches at the edge of the vents. She crouched, and waited, making sure she was juuuust right.... and pounced! Her pounce was nest and light, the thump on the metal being not as loud. She killed the mouse with a swift bite to the neck, and turned swiftly. She used her whiskers to find her way out of the vents, and padded into the Cardboard tunnels made by discarded boxes. She came to the center, a huge box (once used for a chandelier) and nodded at the small prey pile. She settled in a nest of fabric scraps fur and moss, and tucked into her meal.

Sam sat in the entrance to the Cardboard palace, his cream and merlot red pelt buffeted by the wind that ran through the alley ways this time of year. He leaned softly again the wall, his ears pricked for noise of any approaching cats.

Blaze was running through the streets full of echoey noises. Turning everywhere, he wanted to find a cat to talk to, but its hard to find a new route when you've been everywhere. Except when he turned a unfamiliar corner, he fell down onto some gravel. Limping, he continued to walk, more cautiously, until a scent of cats hit his nosr. Then he saw it. A big cardboard place bug enough to fin a coouple of cats inside "Wow!" Blaze the kit limped to the front, where a cat was sitting. "Is this yours?"

Sam turned his gaze from Snow to Blaze. "Hello Little one. This palace belongs to my mother and I. A home for wayward cats." His gaze traveled to the gravel filled wound. "Would you like help with that young tom?"

Coco walked up to the stack of cardboard boxes. Her bright green eyes fixed on how tall it was. The young she-cat padded into one sniffing around before walking back out.`Wow so many boxes..`She mewed impressed before sitting down on the floor for a moment to give her fur a couple of licks.

Blaze sighed. “That would be nice” He walked up to the cat but hissed as he tested his paw. “I - I think it’s broken!” He whimpered. He had never broken anything, and Marisha would be mad to see him in this state. “I need to get back! She’s gonna be soo mad that I left!" He ran back to the fence and tried to leap up, but completely missed and fell to the ground, yowling in pain.

Sam nodded at Snow quickly. "I will be back soon, you may choose to go into the Cardboard palace. It is open for anyone. My mother will be in the large box in the center, and if she isn't she will be back soon." Sam set of quickly after Blaze. He made sure he didn't look threatening. (And by any means this scrawny young street cat looked nothing threatening) and he followed Blaze's scent. "Hello," he said softly. "We can help you recover at the Cardboard palace. You
Can fix your leg."

Whiskey's ears flicked as she heard a noise down one of the Cardboard tunnels. She got up and stretched. She gave her skinny haunches a few licks and padded down the tunnel towards Coco. Whiskey got to the point in the Cardboard tunnel where she could see Coco at the end. "Hello." She meowed welcomingly. "How are you?"
