Character of the Month (October 2022)

Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos!

Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.

For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month.

Nominations will be held for approximately 1 week, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting.

Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win.

If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote.

The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month.

Before you nominate, please keep these in mind.

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated to avoid inactive characters being featured.
  
  
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
  
  
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot be voted for the month they broke the guideline. They will be omitted from the final polling.
  
  
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed. Additionally, be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded. We want to know why you think this cat deserves attention!
  
  
• You may nominate two characters, but avoid nominating characters who have already been nominated.

Why?: This character NEEDS MORE ATTENTION! Badgerpaw is such a cute character and it breaks my heart to bully him as Frostpaw.

Why should this character be featured?: I absolutely love how he's RPed, generally, he's shy and not very outgoing, but with Firepaw he opens up a bit more and is a great friend to her, being able to keep her grounded and not wreaking havoc all over the place.

Why should this character be featured?: Silverpaw is an amazing, very well roleplayed character. I love how she's both loving and fierce, always ready to protect a friend or family member. She's come very far in her life and her posts have so much depth in them. Silverpaw definitely deserves COTM.

Why should this character be featured?: Specklepaw’s roleplay entries are detailed and precise, and really show how the apprentice feels! She is played very well by DreamDaze and totally deserves COTM

Why should this character be featured?: QuailFur puts a lot of detail and effort into her posts. There's plenty of emotion and they're just a great writer in general too. I think that they really deserve the character of the month ^^

Why should this character be featured?: Despite being so young, she had made a lasting impact on ThunderClan and her Clanmates. Passionate, caring, and always willing to stand up for what she believes in, Flamepaw is such a phenomenal character to read. I really enjoy her personality and how steadfast she is in her friendships and desire to be a great ThunderClan warrior. Ever since she was a kit she's had a voice that demands to be heard and I am excited to see where she goes from here!

Why should this character be featured?: So young and already going through so much early on in life. With the death of her mother, Bluebellpaw is experiencing quite a few emotions, along with learning all about how to train to be a warrior. She handles both with dignity and grace, often making sure those around her are alright regardless of whatever her emotions prove to be. Reading how she is written and portrayed makes my heart both shatter and fill with warmth at the same time. I cannot wait to see where her apprenticeship takes her!

Why should this character be featured?: In times of outrage and commotion, Fawnleap is unafraid to speak up and out for what she believes. She doesn't hesitate to scold clanmates on proper behavior, nor does she feel embarrassed in doing so. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, and reading her posts in an enjoyable experience.

Why should this character be featured?: Adderscale is such a fun cat to read sometimes. He is charismatic and energetic while also being incredibly loyal and trains Flarepaw, his apprentice, very well. The way he talks and thinks about just things has me laughing so often that I wanted to give him some more attention!

Why should this character be featured?: Otterfluff is the most brave cat you will ever meet in RiverClan, being there to help with almost anything. This cat deserves to be remembered for being the one cat to always be there to save the cats.

Why should this character be featured?: As the leader of RiverClan, this cat deserves to be remembered for his courage and determination for his Clan, willing to do anything to keep RiverClan on the right path. Pikestar deserves to live on not just in the website, but in the minds of the Clanmates of those on said website.
