Even though, really, at this point she was guessing. Some of it was common sense, and remembering from her days under Surgestorm's care. A majority of it was guess work though as she untangled the sticky white spider webs from her paw, covering the open wound. Was I suppose to put a leaf down? she questioned, tilting her head as she watched her paws work. But they already seemed to know what to do, so she just finished up, making sure the wound was fully covered in the cobwebs. "There we go," she sighed, hoping the bleeding would cease now that the wound had been treated and was covered up.

As moonstone tried to get up she hissed in pain and fell back down. "You may want to put some burrs on the cobwebs to make sure they stay on, and maybe a poppy sead to lessen the pain."

A rush of embarrassment flooded Heatherfur from ears to tail tip, and she blinked a few times as she cast her gaze to Moonstones own. Of course, she thought to herself, wanting to slap her tail across her own face for not thinking of it. There was certainly some training needed for this, none of which her warrior days had provided her with. "Y-Yes, of course," she stammered, a bit curtly as she realized Moonstone might as well been healing herself at this point. She hadn't meant it to come out as short, but mostly the tabby was frustrated with herself for not learning things quicker. Without another word she hurried back over to the storage. Aha! Reaching up with one slender paw, the she-cat scooped up some of the remaining burrs. They stuck to her fur easy since it was thicker, and she reclined her paw back in near her chest. Next, she lapped up a couple of the poppy seeds, trying her best to not swallow them as she placed them on top of the paw that held the burrs. "Okay, this should do the trick," she tried again as she hobbled back over to Moonstone. She lay the small seeds in front of her, close enough so she could lap them up, while she set to work on attaching the tiny burrs to her pelt, sticking them in places where the cobwebs were starting to peel off already.

Moonstone licked her shoulder in thanks and ate a poppy sead. "I only know this from my weeks spent in here."

It appeared that the wound wasn't going to become infected, and the bleeding had ceased. Heatherfur visibly relaxed and glanced over at Moonstone, offering a gentle smile. "Well, then you've already spent more time in here than I have," she joked lightly, hoping that the mood was a bit breezier now that her wound had been taken care of. "I don't want you to get up right away. Rest for a bit, perhaps take a quick nap and let those poppy seeds to their job. I want to make sure it's started to heal completely before I let you back out there." It was strange for her to be giving orders like that, but Heatherfur didn't want Moonstone to wander back in with the same wound re-opened - only this time, infected. She was safer in here for just a few more hours.

"Alright." she yawned and fell asleep

She was just finishing getting the last of the cobwebs unstuck from her paws when a voice sounded from the den entrance. "Yes?" she replied, swiveling her head to see Redpaw stumbling into the den. Instantly, her protective instincts kicked in and she dashed forward, examining the younger feline. "Great StarClan, did the thorns attack you too?" she teased lightly, offering a warm look her way. "Right this way," she purred, laying her tail across Redpaw's back but careful to not touch the long scratch. She slowly led her over to a new nest she has scrounged up - the only one as of right now - and moved over so she could sit down. "How did this happen?" the medicine cat asked, stepping back to wait for Redpaw's answer.

Redpaw looked at Heatherfur with a slight awkward smile. She felt small as the molly had asked what had happen. "I was hunting with my adoptive father and I was eager to catch a fidh, but I ended up running into a thorn bush. My side stings really bad." meowed the apprentice with an awkward laugh. Redpaw sat down, trying her vest to try and not hurt her bad side.

Heatherfur smiled as she watched the warrior drift off into sleep. Though, she was a little upset within herself for not knowing the right herbs to use. You've been a warrior your entire life. They can't expect you to know everything right off the bat, she reasoned with herself. A soft sigh escaped her pursed lips as she rose to her paws. Using her thick tail, she started in on sweeping up the den, dusting the unused leftovers of the marigold off to the side.
(You can have her stay in here as long as you want! When she wakes up, Heatherfur will probably just make sure everything is doing good before sending her on her way ^^ We can either time-skip to that or just go over it where she's already left the den - up to you! ^^)

The tabby nodded as Redpaw explained what happened. We've got to do something about all these thorn bushes, she thought to herself, wondering if Fallenstar would ever consider sending a patrol out to at least tear them down. "Ah. Well, lucky for you, I have treated a thorn patient already!" she exclaimed, hoping to lighten the mood a bit with a... well, now that she thought about it, it might've been a rather ill-timed joke. She gave Redpaw a hasty smile before turning and collecting the herbs she used on Duskclaw - the last little scraps of the oak leaf and some poppy seeds. "Here, eat these. It will help ease the pain so you don't feel it," she informed Redpaw, sweeping one of the seeds in front of the apprentices' paws. As she returned her gaze to Redpaw's flank, she examined it closely and began to coat the opening with the remainder of the oak leaf juice. There wasn't much left, but Redpaw was smaller than Duskclaw, so it was enough for her pelt. It didn't appear to be infected, and Heatherfur let out a sigh. So far none of the patients had come in with infections, and she was glad. If a wound had actually been infected, Heatherfur would've been out of luck - and so would've the patient.

Redpaw loomed down at the seeds with a nod. The former kittypet licked up the seeds, knowing that they will end up making the pain ease. She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws. "Thanks Heatherfur. Your the best medicine cat." Meowed the apprentice with a tired yawn. Redpaw felt a bit quizy.

Heat rose up to her ears at the unexpected compliment, though Heatherfur took it anyways. It felt nice that not all of her new Clanmates were suspicious of her reasons for joining - and becoming their new medicine cat, nonetheless. "Thank you," she purred, offering a tiny smile of gratitude as she stepped back. "They should be alright, and those poppy seeds will help you sleep. Do you need help back to the apprentices' den?" she asked, looking over the younger feline once more. "I want you to rest for the remainder of the day, and take it easy during training tomorrow."
