Moderator Applications

The staff of Warrior Cats Online is looking to expand our team and will begin accepting applications for the role of Mini-Moderator! Please keep in mind that being on staff is extremely rewarding, however it can be equally stressful and demanding.
With that said, we invite everyone to send in an application for the position.

Basic Requirements:

• Behaving in a respectful, professional, and appropriate manner. You will be representing Warrior Cats Online!

• The ability to speak openly and maturely with fellow staff members in a fast-paced environment. Participation in discussions is required.

• A team-based attitude, but operating independently when needed. You'll have to be comfortable working with all staff and members.

• Understanding this job can and will include reviewing disturbing, gory, or otherwise distasteful content.

• Remaining active as an exemplary individual around the site. Welcoming others, assisting where possible, roleplaying indiscriminately, abiding by the Guidelines, and simply being amiable are wonderful ways to accomplish this.

• A Discord account that you are willing to use daily for communication purposes.

 

Mini Moderators

Job Description: Mini-Moderators are primarily responsible for watching over the forums while they receive the necessary training to become a full Moderator. Very minimally, they work with account infractions. They have the least on-site privileges of the staff, but this doesn't mean they are any less integral to keeping order within Warrior Cats Online's wonderful community.

To apply for this role, include the following in your message:

• The timezone you live in
  Here is a handy tool to determine this.

• The device you are on most frequently (computer/laptop, tablet, mobile device, or other)

• Previous moderating experience, if any
  Past experience is not required.

• The amount of hours you spend on WCO daily

• Why you would like to become a mini-moderator

• An overview of your strengths and weaknesses, and how they would apply to your role as a staff member

• The steps you would take if someone were to create drama on the forums

• If applicable, tell us about a time you handled a heated situation with professionalism and efficiency

• Any additional information you would like us to consider

If selected, you will be contacted with further instructions, then begin training as a mini-moderator. You will have minimal on-site privileges until promoted to a full moderator, but you will still be considered a staff member throughout said training.

Applications must be private messaged to the Staff Applications account. They are due by October 6th, 2019.
If your application is unintelligible, does not include the required information, or has been posted publicly, we will be forced to discard it. Should you have any questions regarding the form, an administrator will be happy to assist you.
