Seeing how friendly Cedarpaw was being towards Lynxpaw, the dark apprentice narrowed her yellow eyes - before she understood what he was doing. Being friendly wasn’t in her nature… she wasn’t used to being pleasant to other cats, especially not the lazy, unnatural looking ones. Breathe. Breathe and smile, and pretend that her presence doesn’t bother you at all. That’s how you treat a clanmate, right? Especially one that you like. Ashpaw thought, closing her eyes for a moment and trying to picture herself smiling (not in a sarcastic, or truly happy, but a friendly manner) and all the tension erasing from her muscles. It worked… but she felt rather odd even standing there like that.

How ridiculous she must look, primped up and smiling, with her yellow eyes softened… and she didn’t even want to think about how her voice must sound. ”Yes, good afternoon. Do you have any big plans for later?” She wasn’t even sure how to speak to this other apprentice. Perhaps it would have been best to let her friend do the talking. But Ashpaw was determined to test out her “friendly look” on whoever she could find, trying to win them over to her cause. She was normally one to get directly to the point, or get inside someone’s head - this was a totally different form of manipulation. She stayed where she was, politely away from the two where she wasn’t too close to the stub-tailed freak, but not so far that it looked unnatural. She was the perfect distance, in her opinion.

She didn’t like Lynxpaw very much. For one thing, the other apprentice didn’t appear to belong in their Clan, and for another, she wasn’t as dedicated to her apprenticeship as some other cats were. Cedarpaw and herself being among those cats who were far more dedicated to learning. She had to struggle to keep herself calm, making sure that she wouldn’t explode on the other feline. That would be a shame… she would never want to mess this up. Yes, what a worthy cat to get for our cause. She’s definitely going to contribute a lot to us. I sincerely doubt she would ever do anything to mess us up… TOO badly.

It was hard for Ashpaw to trust other cats. And since she didn’t know - or care to know Lynxpaw - she was determined to talk to Cedarpaw later, about the type of cats that they should be getting. This little scrap was barely anything… but, she supposed, it was a start.

She shook her head and looked at Halfheart curiously, wondering how long she could keep this up, "A stroll sounds nice, but not much better than sitting around all day. You should hunt. Or train, actually. Helping the clan is more important than leisure, Halfheart, Darling." Nightshadow stood up and shook herself off violently. She looked outside with distaste, for it was very bright and sunny. She prefered to slip out at night to hunt and train by herself, and she enjoyed solitude. Except for when she was making fun of people, of course.

Halfheart stopped abruptly she flicked her ears and bared her teeth her whiskers twitched as well she turned around walking up to Nightshadow now she was nose to nose with the other warrior her tail flicking here and there her eyes narrowed and huffed her neck fur bristled " I do hunt!! And train ! . Now I'm gonna ask nicely one last time before I loose it again please be quiet and leave me alone " she meowed followed by a growl " atleast leave me alone for a day "she added

You think so?!” Before Ashnose answered her mind wondered towards the possibilities and ways she could prove that this is her home now. ‘I’ll train the hardest! And...take extra care of the elders’ she thought. Her apprenticeship was only a couple moons away but she couldn’t help but think ahead. She turned her gaze to Ashnose “I want you to be my mentor. "Of course!" The warrior mewed reassuringly. He loved the kit's excitement. It reminded Ashnose of himself when he was a kit. He was just as excited to be an apprentice. That excitement didn't waver as he gained 'paw at the end of his name. That immense feeling of anticipation transferred to waiting to become a warrior as soon as he'd become an apprentice. He credited a lot of his skill to his desire to reach the next step in his life. The tom straightened up a bit as Mistkit complimented him. The ends of his lips perked up a little. "We'll have to see about that." Ashnose mewed, trying not to get himself too excited. He hadn't been a warrior for long. He was so focused on just doing the best that he could do as a freshly named warrior that he hadn't even thought of having an apprentice very much. The thought excited him beyond belief. He wanted an apprentice so badly. He'd be such a good mentor. He wondered if Mistkit would be a good apprentice for him. It seemed they'd both taken a liking to each other so far. Not to mention if she became Ashnose's apprentice, she'd surely turn out to be a loyal ShadowClan warrior. He'd be sure to make it happen. "It's all Goldenstar's decision, but there could still be a chance of me being your mentor." He said more to himself than anything else. By the time Mistkit became a 'paw Ashnose would be ready for an apprentice. Or at least he hoped he'd be ready for one. Like he said, it was all up to Goldenstar. Even so, his amber eyes shone brightly.

Oakenfur blinked in mild surprise at the loud, obnoxious noise his mate's stomach had created and let out a warm, amused laugh in response. He stretched out his paws and got up, the warmth of Amberstrike's presence still lingering for a moment. "I'll go grab you something. Is there anything, in particular, that you'd like?" He asked, hesitating a bit to look back at her and to wait patiently for her response.

At her mates response, she couldn't help but feel a little more embarrassed. This was the last thing she wanted to feel right now! Amberstrike thought for a moment before simply shaking her head. She couldn't be picky right now with the shortage of prey. She'd settle for anything really, as long as she produced enough milk for her kits. "Anything works for me, just make sure you grab something for yourself too. I don't want to be the only one eating," she replied with a small chuckle. She quickly raised her head and gave him a small nudge.

Jadepaw nodded, happy to know what would happen in any unlikely situation. A small smile spread across her maw but she kept his eyes low still. She couldn’t understand why cats wouldn’t like Peachfuzz, he seemed like the best warrior in the clan and made Jadepaw feel safe. When Peachfuzz stopped, she began to think, to be sure there were no other questions that she wanted to ask, only to have one come to mind though she wasn’t very sure if she could ask. Her tail twitched, in an anxious way and she once again spoke. “Will I always have to have a warrior with if I want to go out?” She knew having a strong tom around was only to keep her safe so she could raise strong kits, but she remembered her mother always leaving the nursery to go out on the territory alone and when she returned she seemed slightly calmer, Jadepaw wanted to know if she could take lone walks if she needed one. “After that question, I’m ready to go.”

Nightshadow made no attempt to hide her amused smile and said, "A day, a moon, a minute. What's the difference? It's all just time that eventually passes. Time is just a concept made up by us because we can't wrap our heads around how the land really works." She shrugged and looked at Halfheart slyly, and shook her head. She sat down again, making no attempt to physically block the other warrior from leaving, but decided to try to bait Halfheart. "It's definitely true that you can't understand the concept time, because when I say that insanity will never leave you... well, never means the opposite of forever. If you know what forever means, of course. It's sad, really, that an apprentice is more intelligent than you are," Nightshadow goaded lightly.

Halfhearts neck fur bristled her tail lashing behind her her eyes narrowed . How dare Nightshadow say that?! The grey and white tabby warrior hissed she unsheathed her claws " honestly I'd rather deal with true insanity rather then you " she spat and her ears flattened " now goodby" she meowed she turned around and her whole body felt like it was on fire . She needed to calm down before she would do something out of anger and regret it she walked towards the exit ( end?)

"Yes," he said. "The forest is too dangerous for a she-cat to go alone, regardless of what you may have heard. That is just .. filthy propaganda meant to dissuade you from the course StarClan has set out for you. Once you have a worthy tom for a mate, you can ask him to escort you on walks. My Tinyfuzz is fond of them." Peachfuzz flicked his tail as he turned to head out of camp. "Keep close to me, Jadepaw. You would not want to end up like your kit friend did a couple moons ago when you wandered out of camp without an escort, would you?" He knew she would not, and that it would probably open an old wound she had forgotten. That was good with him; the reminder would teach her to stay in line. She-cats needed to learn their place the hard way.

Cedarpaw flicked his ears, stifling his amusement at Ashpaw's current demeanor. It was very unlike her and certainly she would hear about it from him later. Of course, Lynxpaw wasn't the type of cat he should be recruiting. However, maybe if he gave this absentminded, lazy apprentice a purpose, she'd shape up a bit. The bobbed tail apprentice certainly didn't look like she had much of a purpose and nor did she seem like she belonged in ShadowClan. "Yes, are you busy? I was thinking me and you and Ashpaw, here, could go on a little hunting patrol, the clan is always needing more food." He gave her a small smile, as he bit into the piece of prey he grabbed.

This interaction was just merely a test run, seeing how well the two soon-to-be warriors acted towards other clan mates and how they worked together. After this interaction with Lynxpaw, Ashpaw and himself will have to sit down and plot their next moves for making ShadowClan great again. The feared, strong, no-mercy showing cats.
