Eventually, the sound of soft snoring was heard from the door, smelling of both the missing cat and the dog. The snoring was gentle, so perhaps the dog was sleeping..

Joe froze when he heard snoring. It was coming from another room in the hallway. How had Galahad fallen asleep so quickly. Or, maybe it was the dog. He bristled at the thought, but if he wanted to find his brother, he knew he would have to check. Slowly, he stepped to the doorway and peeked his head in, ready to dash away at the slightest sound.

The dog was in the room, massive and dark brown, deep in sleep, with nose wrinkled everything it snored. The large beast's droopy ears lay over its paws and onto the floor, and it was as if it was more of a corpse if not for the breathing. And on its back was Galahad, sound asleep, deep in the wrinkles of fur on its back, a small white bump on the dog.

Joe jumped in the air, the fur on his spine lifting up. It was huge! How was it not eating Galahad? Was his brother somehow controlling it to do what he wanted? What he told it to eat him? "Galahad!" he yowled, backing out of the room. "What are you doing? Get out of there!"

Galahad didn't stir, content and deep in slumber, but the dog did. It slowly opened its eyes, dark orbs opening slowly and looking over at Joe curiously. It's jaws stretched into a long yawn, teeth flashing as it did so.

"Aaah!" Joe screeched, forgetting all about waking Galahad up as the dog opened it's eyes. It's teeth were ginormous and it's eyes seemed to hold him in one place as he stared at them. Whirling around, he made for the exit, bashing his head on the doorway in his haste to leave. Stumbling into the hallway, he dashed down it.

By this time, Joe, still yowling madly, had scurried up the tower as fast as he could go and was crouched on top of the bed. Panting heavily, he flattened himself as low down as he could, staring out at the door with his eyes stretched wide in fear.
