"You might want to chill a bit," he said, deadpan. "I mean, there's no reason to be literally the only ThunderClan warrior who gives a damn about your situation." Fawnsqueak recognized that was a little harsh and perhaps unfair to the few who he'd seen lifting a paw to better their circumstances, but the majority were.. existing, waiting for someone else to take the lead. He'd seen ThunderClan through two fires now and was disheartened that nobody had learned from the previous one, or seemingly had an ounce of self-preservation.

Fawnsqueak considered that. "Uhh," his meow wavered in thought, "I don't think so? They know you didn't die in the fire, I guess, but you've been here a while now." It wouldn't be unheard of to ditch the Clan after a traumatizing event like that. "So I'm going to go with.. probably not. Which, isn't the worst thing in the forest, y'know? You can recover here for as long as you want." His smile was lopsided, shrug casual. "At least you'd have a den over your head."

Cloudedspark’s head dropped, chin resting on the ground as the cat — she-cat? As they spoke. The words struck a nerve, and she found herself speechless and upset. Instead of speaking, she tucked her right paws underneath her and left her others out where they could be... treated, or whatever. The torbie let out a sigh, feeling utterly helpless and overwhelmed.

Her ears pricked again. They— they didn’t know? She had to go... just wait a few days. And wait for this cat to leave. Medicine cats had to leave the den at some point. Right, right. At least she had a den. At least the camp wasn’t on fire. "Right," was all she murmured, the usually energetic energy gone. "I’m going to... get some rest. Got nothing better to do." Closing her green eye, she tried to fall asleep, hoping the next few days would pass in a blur.

And, here was the man of the hour! Snowfern sighed in relief as she spotted the medicine cat, and she made sure to keep her eyelids open, so he had better access to her eye socket. Fun. She let out an audible hiss of pain as she felt webs get pressed into where her eye should be. Even worse was the pressure. Ohhh, the pressure. She felt like her face was being crushed, which was a pretty odd feeling to say the least. She wanted to pull away so badly so she could stop the stinging pain, which seemed to have become far worse as time went on, but she did her best to stay as still as possible. Granted, she still squirmed around a bit and let out small gasps, but at least she was trying to stay still. She could really use some poppy seeds right now!

She jumped slightly as she felt something touch her pelt, though she immediately noticed that it was just the hawk feather that she had given Willowpaw after they first killed the hawk. She felt a small smile come to her face as she watched her apprentice out of the corner of her eye, "I-I'm not going to-to die" she mewed, a pained purr bubbling in her throat. "Don't w-worry, I understand." she responded. She knew that one of them would have to explain the whole situation to either Lionstar or sootflare sometime soon, and it was better sooner rather than later. At the next statement, she was relatively confused. Did her own apprentice have to treat her like a kit just because she was injured? She knew it came from the right place, it just made her feel like she hasn't done enough to prove that she was strong enough to get through this. Still, she placed a slightly trembling paw on the large feather and pulled it closer to her to tuck it under her belly, trying not to disrupt Fawnsqueaks focus. "D-don't worry. I'll keep it s-safe" she vowed.

Willowpaws posture noticeably sagged in relief at the reassurance, the action more for her than for Snowfern. Still she was desperate to get out and took the opportunity to leave with one last purr at Snowfern and a hasty uttered "I'll be back!" as she went. Not noticing the sluggishly bleeding cut left by the hawk on her shoulder hidden under the hawks own blood.

Well she didn't particularly want to be here but Willowpaw was back in the medicine cats den. This time for some building! She stopped by to say a quick hello to Snowfern rubbing an affectionate face along her mentors side and using the moss Willowpaw'd found to pad her bed before moving to wait for Rainpuddle or Nightfeathers instructions.
"Whats your ideas for the construction? I'll gather any materials you need or do whatever I can to help!" The happy go lucky apprentice declared trying to stay still and dignified while waiting for orders.

Attention drifting to Greenheart, Fawnsqueak inwardly thanked his stars that Lionstar had his life together enough to continue sending the herb patrols, doubtful that Sootflare would be so kind to him after that little childish blowout. That.. he still didn't understand, quite frankly, but those thoughts were for another time.

"Thanks," he said once he remembered it was probably his turn to speak, taking stock of what she'd brought in. The insecure question brought a laugh to his tongue, and he nodded, lighthearted. "Yeah, man. These are great."

There was something delightful about being paired with this apprentice- as for the other two of the group she was indifferent towards. Nightfeather has had little social interaction with them and will likely be silently judging them while they worked together, just so she could determine whether she'd like any future interactions with them or not. For now, they appeared to be quiet, so she would speak up with a light smile, attention focused on Willowpaw.

"Well I believe a good place to start would be checking the state of what we already have. It's best to check for repairs needed first, and then to work on expansion. Or, since there's four of us, two of us can work on checking for repairs and doing them, and the other two should focus on preparing for the expansion?" Her amber gaze looked now to Rainpuddle and Whitepaw, deciding to also tack on, "Me and Willowpaw can start with damage assessment unless either of you have a preference."

The black and white she-cat stood straight, head level, tail lowered slightly but not daring to touch the ground, and maintained eye contact with each cat that she spoke to. Her fur was in pristine condition, thoroughly groomed and well taken care of. There was a sense of elegance, class and professionalism about her.

All that sounded reasonable to Willowpaw who nodded along to Nightfeathers words. Maybe another cat would wait some more to see the plan finalised but Willowpaw was a cat of more action then talk, though she could certainly talk if needed. Deciding to get started she did a quick circuit of the medicine cats den before finally slowing down to look at the big problems she noticed in more detail. Looking over the damages and thinking of how to fix them was a boring if necessary task so half an ear on the warriors in case they had further instructions Willowpaw began to sing under her breath. She was proud of her abilities and for good reason as the light tune lifted the mood around her, at least to her mind. Honestly she always thought the medicine cats den was pretty well constructed with a sick room off of the main den and a storage area and didn't see what really could be made to improve it, maybe Fawnsqueak might know but not the young apprentice.

The silence of the other warrior was slightly frustrating, but Nightfeather would never let that show, instead, she got to work on what she said she would do. Willowpaw seemed eager to get to work as well, and she was thankful for that. She knew that Lionstar liked particularly punctual cats, or really just cats who could get a job done.
There were a few glaring problems, but nothing exceptionally severe. Her gaze swept carefully over the exterior walls of the medicine cat den, her paws taking her slowly. She didn't want to miss a single detail. You needed to be thorough, exact, and leave no room for a missed repair. Willowpaw already seemed to hone in on the most glaring of errors, so the black and white warrior quietly slipped out to gather some repair supplies. Mostly just extra ferns, branches and mud to help seal it all together. It wouldn't take her long, but her white paws were muddied by the time she got back. Settling down next to the apprentice she was working with, she spoke up. "Go ahead and start on repairing this area and I'll work on the other, if you use up what I've brought feel free to go out and collect more. Work carefully, but not slowly. The expansion is our main concern and Rainpuddle appears out of sorts currently, so the sooner we can transition over to help Whitepaw the better." And with that being stated, Nightfeather took her share of the supplies and padded over to begin repairing an area over by where the herbs were stored and part of the sick bay.

"Got it!" Willowpaw chirped grabbing some of the materials and setting to work. Big sticks go in the holes muddy clay to seal and connect them and one final layer of dryer material over top to to solidify the structure, the basic ideas seemed to flow easily as she apprentice fixed the areas she noticed. Her song changed over time to something less bouncy and more smooth and majestic as she worked making sure to keep it happy so the mood stayed light even if she was grumpy too at the lack of help from the other half of the crew. All the major holes she found patched Willowpaw moved on to retrieving more material and keeping Nightfeather stocked with what she needed. As she worked a thought came to mind "Hey Nightfeather? What happens to the herbs if the camp floods? I was thinking of thunderclans fire and how they lost all their herbs and here the worry is flooding more then fires right? So what happens to the herbs if the camp floods, are they just ruined and lost or is it possible to retrieve them after?" Willowpaw cocked her head at the thought. She was pretty sure herbs didn't float so did that just mean they were gone if they got submerged? The apprentice didn't know.
