Petuniapaw giggled as they touched noses. Was that a costume? "Well I'm glad to have someone to teach me stuff mister." She replied with a smile.
After that she sat down beside her new mentor. She wanted to know what happened next but didn't dare talk as Lionstar started more ceremonies.

Ashfrost settles down next to his apprentice, curling his tail neatly over his paws. He attempted to look as collected as possible, but the thrilling excitement he felt buzzed through his pelt. Tail covering his quivering paws, he uncurls his claws into the ground to keep himself situated as Lionstar continued the ceremonies.

(I'm absolutely ecstatic to have Petuniapaw as an apprentice for Ashcloud! Just let me know if there is anything you'd like to have Ash teach/show Petunia, and I'll be more than happy to oblige ^^)

Shimmeringpaw sat in the back of the clearing. She watched as the new apprentices were assigned to their mentors. Did he forget about me? She thought to her self. The she-cat tried to make herself smaller and less noticeable as she didn't want to attract any attention.

Spiritflight bounded forwards, his curiosity brimming fiercely. It threatened to spill over the edges, so he made sure not to gape at his leader. It took him a while to right himself afterwards, and when he did, he puffed out his chest proudly, gazing up at Lionstar.
"Yes sir!" Today marked another unexpected item on his agenda.
I wonder...

I don't know what a 'spirit' is or how you look like one-- all kits are spirited in nature, but.. it doesn't matter. From this day forth, you will be known as Hickoryblaze in honor of your passion for the Clan.

Leafpaw [ @caswshay617], Hickoryblaze will be your new mentor."

Shifting his gaze, his eyes landed on Shimmeringpaw. Did she think he was blind? "Shimmeringpaw [ @Shimmeringmask], get up here!"

Her ears flattened against her head, she got up and cautiously walked to the Riverclan leader "Yes sir?" Shimmeringpaw asked as she stood in front of the tom.

Fennelheart padded into the crowd, ears flat from the cold and eyes squinted. I wonder what this meeting is about. It sure feels like Lionstar has been calling a lot of them lately.

As she settled down, her pure white pelt rippled, shining in the sun. Fennleheart yawned and took a deep breath of the crisp winter air, focusing her orange gaze on Lionstar, pretending to listen. Then the she-cat delved back into her thoughts. She liked to do this- it was a good distraction for when she was bored.

Like now.

I don't really like my name. It's just so... boring. Fennelheart. Couldn't I have been named, I don't know, Fennelstorm? Or maybe Fennelfrost? Hm, that's a good one. I wonder what it would be like if cats had wings like birds. We could hunt better, probably. Would the wings replace forelegs? I bet if we had wings my name would be Fennelflight. That's a good name, I like the sound of it.

Or maybe it's for the best that we don't have wings.

After all, it would make killing much easier.

A shudder ran down her spine as Fennelheart tried to shove away the cobwebs of her mind, yanking herself back into the 'waking world' and refocusing her gaze on Lionstar with a fake smile.

Still, her thoughts would not cease once they had taken that turn.

You're a killer. You want wings so you can kill. You want to rip out Lionstar's throat and take his place like the vile, ambitious cat you are. You know I'm right.

Spiritfl- Hickoryblaze nodded to Lionstar, still a little confused. He hadn't realized his name was that confusing. Though now that he thought about it... He shook his head, his excitement dulled. But he brightened as soon as he heard Leafpaw's name. He touched his nose to the apprentice's own, and smiled.
"Of course! We can get started now if you'd like. I need to see how much you already know."
