Shadow trudged through the snow. He hated it, the perfect white completely contrasted his pure black fur but still he walked and jumped the fence and saw a cat.

Gem looked up at the fence, seeing a black tom hop up. "Hi! I'm Gem! Wanna be friends? Let's-" Her invitation for play cut off as she recognized this tom's scent. "S-Shadow?" The molly asked, walking out from her place in the snow. Her yellow eyes grew wide as she strolled closer to her old friend.

"Yes! Oh, it is you!" Gem didn't hesitate to pounce him to the ground happily, her ears perking up. "I've missed you so much! I would've visited, but after we last saw each other my twolegs locked me in the house and wouldn't let me out! I was stuck in there for ages, until I escaped today!"

Shadow purred in delight. "You don't know how long I've been wanting to see you again. And my oh my have you grown." He leaned up and licked her face. He was glad to see she was no longer a kit and now looked like a full grown cat. Though from as he could see, she still acted like a kit but at the same time, so did he.

Gem laughed, pushing Peanut off her. "Hi, Peanut!" She mewed, looking back at Shadow. "Yup, I'm not 7 moons anymore!" She lifted her head proudly, before pawing back at the snow in front of her. "It's so cold!" She gasped gleefully, leaning down to nose at it with her muzzle.
