The tom-kit jumped back. "Leave me alone!" he snapped.
Suddenly, the bushes shivered and Wildkit jumped out. "Hey Honeysplash! What's going-" She stopped when she saw the kit. "Hello! Who are you?" she asked.
The kit turned, about to snap, but he saw Wildkit and said, "...... Do I know you?
"..... I don't think so...?" Wildkit replied.
The tom-kit looked at his paws, thinking "...... I swear, I've seen you before," he whispered, half to himself. Then he remembered. "Oh! You're that cat who jumped into the Gorge! You didn't get hurt or anything! And then you led a whole group of cats over the Gorge like it was nothing! And after that, you attacked and killed a fox! That was so cool!" he listed the many things Wildkit had done the past few days.
The first one in particular surprised Wildkit. "H-how did you know it was me?!" she exclaimed.
"Well, at first you looked like some other cat, then I saw a flash of purple in your eyes and thought, 'That can't be right...'. Then I concentrated on untangling the illusions, and it worked! My mom said that only certain cats can do that," The kit explained.
Wildkit blinked. "And after that, you saw me lead a rebellion, and kill a fox?" she asked.
"Umm........ Yeah. I actually was hunting when the rebellion thing happened, and I was exploring and practicing my tree climbing when the fox thing happened," the kit replied.
Wildkit nodded. "Makes sense."
