Honeycreeper hadn't been as active around camp as he should have been. He hadn't even helped much wither the rebuilding. This was highly unusual for him.
He wasn't as cheerful as normal, didn't feel his life had much spark anymore.
Maybe watching the kits would make him feel alive again. It always had in the past. He loved them all very dearly.
He noticed Raccoonkit and beckoned to him, instantly less moody.
