Someone risked doing something stupid, right? She had lost count of the times she had second-guessed herself doing this. After all, there were some pretty vicious ThunderClan warriors hanging around the edges of the territory, and she didn’t want to get a hole bashed in her skull. Most were willing to forgive and forget if she tricked them into thinking she was interested, but that hadn’t gone over too well last time. Stupid. What kind of a tom isn’t tempted every once in a while? A good one, she supposed, but she needed… bad toms. Toms that were really tempted by her, that thought she was irresistible, that would love to get closer to her. Too bad they were rarer and rarer these days. Whisper crouched low to the ground, her ears pinned against her head as she slunk towards a rustle in the bushes.

It would be easy enough to catch something out here - as long as she stayed inconspicuous, she’d be safe. That was pretty hard with her silver-white ghost of a pelt, standing out against the dark bark of the trees and greenery around her, and it was enough to make her wish for leaf-bare again. It was nice coming back here. She’d forgotten how well these dumb-as-a-slug Clan cats had it. The worst part was, they were too stupid to know how well off they were. If Whisper ever heard another idiotic cat complaining about how hard it was to take care of their Clan, she was going to show them what really hard luck was. And it wasn’t being holed up in some cushy joint with all of their buddies, getting to hunt and talk together, training to take care of each other… that sounded pretty lucky to her.

Whisper would’ve loved to claw the smug looks off of their faces, but she had to wait and bide her time… eventually, maybe, she would be able to attack a Clan cat. Maybe that one warrior who’d tried to smash her skull in would come back. She’d love to get the upper hand with him, to break apart the little chinks in his armor - Whisper was good at that. Sort of, anyways. Everything she knew, she had learned from her Mother, who had been less than a model cat. And who was now dead, so Whisper would never make the mistakes she had made. She was smarter than that. Closer and closer Whisper crept, until she pounced, slashing the throat of an unsuspecting fat little rabbit, who had crept into the edge of the forest… and who would never return home to it’s little rabbit-hole.

Even with a loss of smell, his ears worked perfectly. Riskwatcher had to relied on his hearing in order to stay useful to his clan - used to be one of the best trackers...and karma bit him in the rear-end. Possibly because he was so stuck up, smug to his clan mates, and now, life was teaching him that talents didn't last long. Virtually, he was lost, blankly staring at the ground as he tried to sort out a good sound of something to sink his fangs into. Purposely, he avoided going hunting because of this exact reason. It was clearly a lot of sound in the forest, where the wind would mingle with the trees and cause a distraction to his sensitive ears. Riskwatcher wasn't as young as he used to be, and he accepted that he was growing older. Older, not useless. He still had some good fight in him...his mind recalling the recent battle with Shadowclan that stopped them from proceeding to the gathering. Admittedly, he gained some satisfaction at clawing those useless pieces of scum.

Riskwatcher ended up aimlessly walking, deeper into the heart of the territory. He thought he heard something rattle, but brushed it off as the wind once more. He lifted his head, his nose in the air, only to get discouraged...old habits died hard. He lowered his head down, a permanent scowl on his face, but when he heard the strangle of an animal...something wasn't right. He didn't see it coming when the a specter's colored coat flashed past him, blinding him for a moment. He stumbled back, believing that it was one of his clan mates fetching fresh kill. His clan-mates...why would they hunt on practically the outskirts of Thunderclan? Thundeclan had plenty of nice prey, an abundance of it to catch when it was Greenleaf.

Riskwatcher growled unconsciously, darting like a comet toward the noise of a strangled - bird? No. Mouse? Definitely, not. Rabbit? Most likely. It must had been those Windclan vermin, trying to provoke them. Haven't they learned their lesson to not mess with Thunderclan? Riskwatcher was doing a little hunting of his own, deciding to creep up on the unwanted visitor, and pouncing at them - likely beginning a fight.

The most place anyone would ever find the leader was roaming the territory. Admiring every little detail, being quite the meticulous one that cared about the smallest petal in nature to the largest tree. Earlier, he bounded out his den. He knew he probably should rest...he haven't slept in...he didn't know how long. Passionstar wasn't the type to sleep, where he would continuously flip and turn as if he were having a nightmare. In lieu, he ended up running - more than a few times. He would climb the highest tree, jump from branch to branch until it tired him out. Gradually, he would fall asleep in the tree, the stars above, given that it wasn't a cloudy night. Oddly, he would be rejuvenated, like now.

Only, this time Passionstar simply strolled through the trees, wanting to enjoy his solitude and a walk alone. Possibly, it would clear his mind of family troubles, stress, and the entirety of Thunderclan. The leader would convince himself that he was doing good. He was picking up where Snowstar left off...he was going to make Thunderclan stronger, make them thrive, make sure...they have a worthy leader. Thunderclan didn't need another leader going AWOL.

The ginger tom's ears perked when he heard the scurrying of a creature. He stopped walking, one paw lifted, ears twitching inquisitively. When he heard the scampering once more, he jumped about, almost like a small kitten - and, he must had looked like a sight - excitedly perked up and running wildly after the sounds of a mouse. A simple mouse. A game of chase always made him happy. If his mother was here, she would had surely scolded him for playing with his food instead of catching it.

The fluffy warrior stumbled out of the camp entrance, her legs shaking tiredly with each step. Blizzardhail was not a morning cat. “Ugh, stupid morning, stupid hunting, stupid everything! Stupid, stupid, stupid!” she cursed. The she-cat was not in a good mood this morning. Actually, she was never in a good mood in the morning. Typically it was nice to be around Blizzardhail, but you didn’t want to cross her when she was just getting out of her nest. The hard-working nature of the warrior resulted in late nights every night and she hated it when she had to get up early in the morning for something such as dawn patrol. The she-cat needed her sleep. She doubted that there was anything more wonderful and important than sleep. She was much more of a night person than a morning person.

“Why did I have to be assigned to go on dawn patrol? Everyone knows that I can’t wake up in time!” she grumbled. Blizzardhail was grumpier than usual this morning. She had missed the dawn patrol. Although her clanmates had done their best to wake her up without waking the whole clan up, the she-cat had slept through all their calling and shaking. She was quite the deep sleeper. The dawn patrol had then found some other warrior to replace her and she was then told to hunt all morning to make up for missing the dawn patrol. Blizzardhail was typically quite organised, but not when it came to early mornings. Dawn patrol was basically her weakness. Blizzardhail felt bad for being the cause of some other poor cat having to go on the dawn patrol but she would apologize later. She wasn’t in an apologetic mood right now. She was angry. She wasn’t entirely sure about what it was that was angering her, but she had the feeling that it was more than just one reason. She was probably mad that she’d failed to wake up in time, that she’d been told to hunt all morning without eating something first, that her clanmates had scolded her for neglecting her duties. She knew that her clanmates were doing the right thing. She should be scolded if she were failing to contribute to the clan, but she was angered by it anyway. She knew that they were right, she should have to bear through it but she’d heard enough. Passionstar’s probably going to find me later today and give me some boring lecture on how I have to contribute, Blizzardhail thought, rolling her eyes. The warrior didn't usually think badly of her clanmates, but she was sour enough to do anything this morning.

Once her legs had gained a bit of balance and her head had stopped spinning, she regained herself and started to break into a run. Her white pelt was a blur as she sped past the undergrowth, her icy blue hues narrowed attentively as she searched for any signs of prey. She came to a sudden halt as the smell of mouse drifted past her through the gentle breeze. She let out a slight yelp as she nearly tumbled over her front paws which had stopped, but her back legs with still moving. Once she had stopped, she closed her eyes and stood still. She was feeling better now. She wasn’t feeling so sulky and so annoyed with everything. “Alright Blizzardhail, you can do this,” she told herself. There. Her eyes opened and she stared in the direction that the smell was coming from. Don’t mess up. She stalked over towards the bushes. She wasn’t sure where the mouse was, but she knew it wasn’t too far away. The scent of it was strong enough that she knew it was nearby. The scent was getting stronger and stronger as she crept closer and closer, then suddenly, a blur of brown fur shot out from the bushes. The warrior’s eyes widened in surprise and she faltered. When her senses came to her, she slammed her paw on the ground but she was too late and the mouse had scurried away into a bunch of new bushes. Blizzardhail didn’t bother to go after it. Instead she groaned in annoyance. “I can’t do this!” she wailed, huffing in annoyance. Just as she had calmed herself down, she had messed up and the side that she rarely showed had come back. The white warrior took deep breaths and had her eyes closed. She was standing dangerously still. Any moment now, the she-cat would doing something unpredictable. Something that would get rid of the anger in her and let her return to her normal, vivacious self.

Truth be told, Caliaflame had been… avoiding Doepaw. Yes, she loved her brother. Yes, she missed him. But after what had happened in the medicine cat’s den, she’d needed to take some time and distance herself. He could’ve died, and it would’ve been her fault. She’d taken care of quite a few patients and everything had been going fine, but the thought of losing her brother was almost too much for her. How could anyone deal with losing a family member? Caliaflame was pleased to say that her family was still whole and together, but it hurt to even think about one of them dying someday. Her biggest problem, really, was that she had a hard time letting go of things.

She didn’t want to let go of him. Caliaflame hadn’t been expecting to see anyone - let alone Doepaw - back here, so when she heard him calling her… her first instinct was to dive into the underbrush. Or to run away, anything to avoid talking to him at the moment. There had to be some herbs somewhere else, right? She didn’t have to stay here, right? But at the same time… she knew Doepaw had probably missed her. So, gathering up her courage, she placed a smile on her face and turned around, her tail still twitching a little nervously. ”Hey, Doepaw!” The words came out more cheerfully than she meant them to, but Caliaflame was no actress… she never had been. ”Oh, I’ve just been looking for herbs. You know, since there should be more growing back here now… what about you? What are you doing back here?” You should still be resting! Staying in camp, or… something… I don’t know! She knew she couldn’t put Doepaw above her other patients, but as her brother… it was different. Harder, she supposed.

After all, this was her brother’s life that was almost lost. If he had died, she wasn’t sure what she would’ve done. She wanted to treat him much differently than the other patients. She wanted to tell him that he couldn’t go out and try to have things go back to normal yet, that he was supposed to be taking it easy, but by the looks of things… he already had been. ”Well, how are you? You look much better, it’s good to see you… out and about,” The feline mewed with a slight purr. She wasn’t quite sure what to talk about right now. Training, ordinary aspects of life, perhaps, but she was uncomfortable talking about anything else right now. She hated feeling awkward around Doepaw. It was the most unnatural thing in the world, but she needed to get used to it. This was her life now, after all. She was a full medicine cat of ThunderClan, after all. Somehow, she’d had enough experience and training to be considered good enough, although she wasn’t quite sure how that worked, and so now it felt like everything was on her. Everything was on her - with no apprentice (and no plan to get one at the moment), and no mentor, Caliaflame was alone.

Perhaps sometime in the future she would make a plan, but for now… she needed to get settled before she could think about finding an apprentice. It was going to be tough, but she would get used to it eventually. The she cat shifted her weight, glancing up at the sky through the trees. She wasn’t a very good climber (for a ThunderClanner) and it’d been some time since she had tried hunting. Her training only extended so far, after all… it felt pretty weird that she hadn’t hunted in a while. When she was little, this was the last thing she saw herself doing as an apprentice. Technically, she wasn’t an apprentice anymore. Caliaflame often wondered how she had ended up here. She missed Wheatfur, and if he was still around, maybe she wouldn’t have wondered that quite as often.

Still, she couldn’t complain that much - she had never fought in a battle, never had to wonder if she would be coming home that day, never watched someone she cared about die. Those things happened to warriors whenever there was a battle to be fought, and even sometimes outside of that. Either way, Caliaflame was thankful that she hadn’t had to do any of those things. Even if Wheatfur was dead… she hoped he would be proud of her for what she’d been trying to do so far.

He saw it. The hesitation, the distress. And he was the cause of the negative emotions. The look that flashed across his beloved sisters face made him stop dead in his tracks, the bubbily and excited aura that surrounded the apprentice dissipated in an instant. He watched as his sister put on the same mask that she put on for the rest of the world to see. It was never like that before, he always, always saw what was under the mask, primarily because she never put it on in front of him, not until now. He swallowed down all those questions, 'why?', and he swallowed hard, than gave her what she gave him. He flashed his sister a fake smile, and it hurt so much to hold that fakeness for as long as he did, it only disaspated until after the molly asked her question. "Hunting." he commented, leaving it short, cold. She didn't want to talk to him, she didn't want to be around him, fine. He wouldn't keep her. The caramel tom shifted his deep blue hues down to the ground and began to play wiht a blade of grass. I hurt, it hit him harder than words could fathom. It felt as though his heart had cracked. Caliaflame was his sister, his beloved sister that he went to, to comfort, to play with, to laugh with, everything. He would die for her, heck he almost did. And this is what he got? She avoided him for moons, and now, here she was putting up that fake front she used to give everyone but him. He wanted to cry, but he wouldn't in front of her.

Doepaw lifted his gaze as she stated her observation outloud. "That's cuz Thunderclan's got the best medicine cat around." he quipped, bob of a tail bouncing. That, that was joy, blissful joy, but it lasted at least two seconds before it was once again snuffed out. The slim tom couldn't hide the pained look that flashed over his features for a second or so, what she said, it hurt him, rubbed salt in the wound. "It...It's nice to see you." he stated, looking up at his sister through his lashes, blue optics glossed over. He couldn't do it, this fake happiness, she was hurting him, did she even notice? He let out a shakey breath and shot her a forced grin, his head tilted to the side "You're busy herb hunting...and you don't want to be around me, I get it. I'll leave you too it." and with that, he turned on his heels and tried, tried so hard to hold back the tears and the whine that was gurgling in his chest, about to seep out. He couldn't, he had to be strong, after all this is what his sister wanted, and he promised he'd do whatever it took to keep her happy. If that meant he had to be out of the picture, so be it.

The leader was happy to have a little play time in the morning. He enjoyed a moment of solitude to relax and unwind by being...physically active, if that made any sense. Chasing after prey with no intentions to hunt it made him go into nostalgia. He loved days where he played tag with his brothers, where he happily caused more mischief than he needed to. Most leaders were constantly stress, allowing the clan’s wellbeing to weigh them down. While Passionstar cared about his clan more than himself, there were times where he needed to be selfish. If he was too stressed, he wouldn’t be able to function right, therefore would be useless to his clan mates. Then again, he might be scolded himself for playing around when he needed to be stringent. Work was a chore. He had a weird way of putting work into the category of fun. So, he chased the mouse into a game of tag, only to slow down his movements when he got to close. Whenever the mouse stopped, he would bend his front half down, lashing his tail into the air. The mouse would sense him, and he would immediately scamper after it - admittedly, he should be resting. However, Passionstar wouldn’t describe himself as preferring morning or dark. He would move until he got exhausted. When he was exhausted, he would crash. Hard.

He stopped, pushing himself through the bushes, eyes focused on his potential catch. His eyes briefly caught the color white, losing the mouse as it scampered through another set of bushes. Passionstar tried to halt himself on his paws, kicking up dirt in the process, but sliding into the next nearby bushes before he could stop himself. He was never a fast cat, and he was always quite clumsy on his paws. He ended up coughing up dirt, a few broken twigs from his mouth, pulling a face of disgust before he hopped back up, poofing out his fur. He was able to get a good look at the feline, an immediate smile coming onto his face once he noticed her familiarity. The next second his cheerful grin faltered notching she was...impossibly still. He never saw a cat that stood so still that it appeared she was frozen in time. Passionstar cautiously approached her, peering down at her with a curious gaze. “Blizzardhail?” His fur began to spike up, making him more fluffier than he needed to be. “What’s up with you?” She looked upset. He could hear her heavy breathing. Passionstar thought it was too nice of a day to feel any type of negative emotions. He stepped back slightly - he knew anger. He couldn’t control his own aggression, but he could try to help calm hers down.

Patience was everything, right? So, why was he always late? Passionstar was up early, before dawn, awaiting for his Oh-so-beloved apprentice. The leader was already faced with the differences of the other clans, worried about his family - he certainly didn’t need Jaggedpaw to add on to his misery. Passionstar...he was patient. Tried to be. He paced in his spot, head looking down, ears angled upward for any alert. He was planning on teaching Jaggedpaw the beauty of battle technique. Yet, each moment dawn appeared and the sun was replacing the shadow of the moon, Passionstar figured the young tom needed lessons on showing up on time.

Passionstar was notorious on giving lectures and coming up with specialized punishments to let kits or apprentices learn their lesson. Jaggedpaw was no exception. Passionstar continued to pace, looking up each time in case he saw the younger tom approaching him. Perhaps, Jaggedpaw would had been excited to finally learn some battle technique since Passionstar kept putting it off because he felt Jaggedpaw didn’t deserve to learn how to fight like a skillful warrior - like him. He resorted to teaching hunting practices, the importance of nature, of patience...definitely putting off fighting training. Today had finally been the day, but now? Passionstar was ready to burst with the lecture of his life to his immature apprentice.

@Checkmate
(btw the cat Amber refers to is my character Allister xP but he wont be in this rp)
Ambercloud could feel her pads sinking into the soil below her as she strolled through the forest. She had asked Dawnlight to accompany her on a border patrol to check if that loner had been back on their territory. What did he call himself? Allister I think it was... If I see that trouble maker I oughta leave his pelt with a few scratches! She had seen the loner the other day and the tom really wasn't doing any harm, in fact he seemed curious about Thunderclan, but rules were rules and he was a trespasser. She didn't think he'd come back after being chased off by a full patrol from last time but she still thought it best to check again.
Plus, this gave her a chance to get to know more about Dawnlight. From what she knew the cream colored she-cat seemed happy but sometimes she would shut others out and keep to herself. Ambercloud didn't know much about her but she enjoyed getting to know her clanmates, so she would try.
She took a deep breath of the fresh morning air, "Ah, I just love it out here! Don't you?" Ambercloud blinked her golden eyes happily. Thunderclan territory seemed to have the perfect balance of shade and sunshine that could provide them with enough prey. Her ear twitched as she could hear scuttling somewhere in the undergrowth but she knew they weren't there to hunt.

Ok)
The fluffy Molly looked at the ground as she walked beside Ambercloud busy in her thoughts why did she ask me to go with her again? Not that I mind...it's just not many do ask. Probably because I mess up every gosh darn sentence that comes out of my mouth?! Oh. Or how about you sleeping in the den all like a lazy kittypet???. What is wrong with you!?! Get yourself together and act like a real warrior . Dawnlight exhailed with a flick of her ears but was brought back to reality by her clanmates voice causing her to perk her head up " y-y-yes! .....o-of course . Sorry..........um.....what was the question again?...... " she asked she didn't quite catch what ambercloud said something about being outside ? Her ears were too filled with her thoughts to listen clearly when she spoke .

She hoped she didn't have to talk a lot this time preferring silence over noise . Her answers weren't always what other cats wanted to hear making her think it was best to just stay silent . Her left ear swiveled backwards as she caught the scuttling noise as well making her nose twitch too she stood still for a moment trying to find the scent of the noise but couldn't quite find anything so she ignored it . They were just patrolling for this strange cat that she didn't know about . Not hunting .

Her ears perked when Dawnlight began speaking. She sounds nervous. "Ah, it was nothing. You can relax ya'know, we're just going to take a look at the border. I doubt anythings going to jump out at us." That was the best Ambercloud could do to reassure the feline but she wasn't sure why Dawnlight was nervous. She seemed like a strong enough warrior so she doubted that the she-cat would be scared of one loner. I hope I'm not the cause. Ambercloud couldn't really see why she'd be the cause but sometimes she did come off as intimidating.

Dawnlight chuckled nervously " r-right . I ......know that. " she meowed then shook her head . " this is the territory not border you know that right? " she asked tilting her head to the side giving her attention to the leader of this patrol she heard tiny rapid pawsteps coming towards them making her ears perk up and twitch taking a wif of the air her eyes widened and felt her stomach grumble mouse ! Oh thank starclan I'm starving she hasn't eaten breakfast at all this morning leaving her annoyingly hungry she was gonna try to wait till dusk to eat but she couldn't wait any longer with a twitch of her whiskers she walked to the direction of the noise now getting low to her stomach creeping slowly closer to the creature . She twitched her tail once she saw the mouse and gulped staying as quiet as she could once she saw its head raise she gained speed and started full blown running at it the mouse only had a little bit to react before she pounced on its back and bit it's neck snapping it. She picked up the rodent and walked back to where Ambercloud was her grip on the mouse getting tighter and tighter afraid of letting it go .

"Yes, but the loner doesn't necessarily know where the border is so he could be anywhere on-" When Ambercloud glanced back in Dawnlights direction the she-cat had been gone. She barely caught the sight of her cream colored tail disappearing behind a tree. "Wait!" She rushed after her clan-mate and when she finally found her Dawnlight was walking towards her, a mouse in her jaws. Ambercloud frowned slightly, "And you know this is a border patrol, not a hunting one right?" She golden gaze lightened up and she purred, gently flicking Dawnlight on the nose with her tail, "Well no matter, you probably made the right call. I don't think we'll find that loner anyways so we may as well not go back to camp empty-pawed." Ambercloud blinked warmly, "Come on, maybe we'll find some more on the way back."
