A yawn squeezed the air out of Alderstep's lungs as he walked alongside Yarrowcrest, an ear flicking to acknowledge Bumblestar's warning. Well said. Hopefully, this gathering went as uneventful as possible - he doubted it would, given the stars-awful luck their clan always seemed to have. He gazed over at the younger cat beside him, studying his limp. He should've stayed home. He should've fought Yarrowcrest harder about the travel, but. He'd be lying if he said he didn't want a few familiar faces below the Seastones. He furtively glanced at the towering rocks and decided to wait until all the other clans showed up before jumping up there. He eyed Twilightstar momentarily, then looked at Bumblestar next to her. Alderstep yawned again before betting to Yarrowcrest, "Three squirrels Dawnstar'll stir up trouble."

Cloudpaw

The white tom padded into the Gathering place, eyes searching the crowd of cats. ThunderClan and RiverClan were both here, and at the site of RiverClan he cast a cool glare in the direction of any nearby RiverClanners. He didn't care if he seemed like an ass- they deserved it. But unless there was a new rule that categorized side eyes as an act of violence, he wouldn't be breaking any Gathering rules.

Sitting down, blue eyes searching the crowd, he briefly wondered if he would be making a new friend or gaining a Gathering buddy this time. He didn't necessarily need it, but he wouldn't hate meeting someone new or sitting with a fellow Clanmate. He just wouldn't instigate anything.

The Gathering, wahoo... Goldenpaw found it hard to muster up any interest in this month's get-together as he padded slowly behind the rest of his clanmates. He never cared much for the other Clans, but recently he found it hard to care at all for them. Just as long as he could get through this without having to deal with some overly excited apprentice or whatever chaos the others decided to brew up today, he'd be fine. Choosing a spot as far away from any others as he could get (which probably wasn't too far, considering there were so many cats and hardly enough space for his personal bubble), he sat down and tried to wipe the sand from his paws.

The dainty little apprentice padded into the Gathering place, looking around for anyone she knew before sitting down near the back, bright pink nose quivering as she took in all the crazy new scents. Too many cats. Too many smells and sounds. It was exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Cloudpaw

The blue eyed tomcat was busy looking at the leaders on the rock (mentally giggling about how awkward they looked) while playing with a small pawful of sand. Sitting in the back, he also saw someone settling down nearby. His half brother, seeming to be equally unimpressed with the other Clans as Cloudpaw was, leading to the tom rising to his paws and padding over to where Goldenpaw sat, using his younger half brother status to invite himself to sit. If only their sister was here, but that was alright. They could have a bro-chat, and you can't have a bro-chat if there's a twin sister around.

"Everyone here stinks." That was his conversation starter, and he wasn't ashamed of it, picking up another pawful of sand as he spoke, reaching over and placing it on top of the closest of Goldenpaws' paws in hopes of burying the singular paw, deadpan as he did it, a gesture that would have been obnoxiously funny if Cloudpaw didn't do it with such a serious expression, then retracting his paw like he never did anything in the first place. Like he had enough energy to make the joking gesture, but not enough energy to come up with a facial expression or comment to partner it with. As if he was aware that he was the younger brother and he was supposed to be a pest, but was only willing to do noncommittal, small pesky gestures.

It was always so wonderful when he got to see the more playful side of his deputy. At the harmless bet, the young warrior can't help but chuckle to himself, glancing out amongst the growing crowd of cats as if at any moment Dawnstar would appear to disapprove of this little bet of theirs. His torn ear twitches and his expression falters as he thinks on the other missing leader. Beanstar. That day had been somewhat of a blur to him as of late but he can't shake the fuzzy image of the tom's corpse from his head. Swallowing hard and voice dropping a bit, he speaks to Alderstep from his spot below, anxious eyes scanning the other's expression for some kind of comfort.

"Do you think... Riverclan is going to come this time? After what happened?"

And just when he thought there was only one cat that could see through him he is proven wrong. When his former apprentice approaches him directly and offers teasing words, he can't help but shake his head. After hearing of last gathering's events it was only natural for him to be worried. To want to keep an eye on her. In his own way Mapleface was something of his daughter, too, though he would never admit to it. Curse his paternal nature.

"You can never be too sure." He speaks plainly in response, allowing himself to move in closer to stand more directly at her side. "Shadowclan is unpredictable. After your nui-... brother's stunt last time, I can't imagine many will be thrilled to see you."

Sparrowfur walked along with her clan into the gathering place. She kept a sharp eye on her mate, but he seemed to be having a moment with the deputy. She smiled softly, thankful that he wasn't alone. She saw a familiar cream coat out of the corner of her eye. She walked up with an affectionate lick to the ear.

"Sourpaw! How's my favorite apprentice?" she teased.

Nightgaze bounded quickly into the clearing her tail swishing excitedly she didn't know why but she was just very energetic tonight and felt the need to socialise! ...Not with any Shadowrats though...never...

Firestream trotted carefully into the clearing and sat down curling her plumy tail around her paws as her bored dark blue gaze scanned the clearing now who would compliment her today she didn't care from who just as long as she was at least told something nice or left alone she would be satisfied.
