Feathers. Two hundred pounds of bricks is just a bunch of bricks, but if you try to carry 200 pounds of feathers, you also have to carry the weight of what you did to those poor birds

Having grown up in a rather wealthy/well-off family, Nyla has been subjected to expectations of success and high achievements since she could remember. As a result, she can't get rather upset when she can't meet expectations and tends to be fairly harsh on herself. She's somewhat shy and aloof, preferring for her parents to not ever catch her interacting closely with others in too lowly of a class in comparison to hers. This is mostly because of her fear of her parents and the power they hold over her. Her exterior personality can also come across as cold and mature to some degree as she will use the best of her judgement towards meeting people, sometimes disregarding the feelings of others. Inwardly, she feels lonely. A childhood of not really having any true friends and growing up as an only child has shaped her to seem somewhat antisocial and awkward when trying to turn a situation from formal to casual. Though she's very open-minded and eager to learn, she finds trusting others a very difficult thing to do and is sensitive to what others think of her.
