Kion scooped up some sand in his paw, then tilted it over, letting the sand gently drizzle back onto the ground. The desert always fascinated him for some reason. He wished Chaka was there, but he knew his best friend had duties as the next heir of the Empire, so he was left alone for now. The cub shook out his fur and trotted deeper into the desert, curiosity sparking through his amber eyes.
Snap.
"Hm?" Kion's ears shot up, and he turned, narrowing his eyes faintly as he looked around. "Chaka?"
Growl.
"Thats not Chaka." Kion backed up slightly, only to bump into someone. He cringed, whirling around. He had to tip his head back to stare up at who it was. "Whoa...Big tiger."
"Hello." A giant saber-toothed tiger stared down at him, giving the cub a fanged grin as he took a step forward.
Kion breathed out softly, stepping back as he swallowed. "...Oh boy."

Behind the tiger was a normal sized one holding a limp cub in his jaws, her pale fur stained with blood.

(I just realized that Kovu is Atazi's brother.)
(O,O We need to do something with this family.)

Zira woke up with a yawn, stretching out in the sun. "Atazi?" She looked around. The little cub must have gone exploring again. "Kovu, have you seen your little sister?" She called.

Kion looked at the other cub, startled and briefly distracted.
"Cub." The tiger growled suddenly, and Kion's head snapped back to him. "Whats your name?"
"Kion." Kion's eyes were wide, but he straightened, narrowing his eyes.
"Kion? Prince Kion? Son of King Simba and Queen Nala?" The tiger raised an eyebrow.
Kion just nodded, eyebrows furrowing.
"Well in that case," The tiger smirked. "You'll be coming with me."
"No thanks, Stripey." Kion blurted out before he could stop himself, stepping back, only to bump into another tiger. This time he didnt turn around, blood running cold.
"Oh I didnt say you had a choice." The tiger chuckled.
