Bluepaw let out a yowl of surprise underwater when Pikestar kicked him. Panic filled the white-furred tomcat when he started to swallow water because of his reaction. He popped to the surface, coughing up water and looking at his mentor. He flinched at the wound. "Sorry..." He meowed sadly, his wet head and tail dropping down.
PIKESTAR
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻

➣ Cleaning his fresh, bleeding wound, the RiverClan leader would lift his head after a few minutes, turning to look at the soaked apprentice before him. His first thought was to scold Bluepaw for doing this, to discipline him for breaking skin during a training session — stars above, did he treat other apprentices this roughly in spars? — but Pikestar would eventually only utter a low sigh and shake his head. “StarClan knows I’ve gone through far worse than this,” The oriental longhair remarked in a quiet voice, “But I must remind you to never act this rough when sparring with your clanmates, okay? I have nine whole lives and more than enough strength to spare RiverClan, but the rest of your clan doesn’t have that kind of privilege.” Basically, Pikestar was not going to punish Bluepaw for doing this, but simply sharply reminded the youth to never hurt another clanmate.

After a moment of silence, the dark-furred tomcat rose to his paws. “Come. Let us head back to camp.” He meowed, turning away from the river with his tail swishing back and forth, “It’s clear to me that you are ready for your warrior assessment. You will be tested on all that I have taught you through these moons in two sunrises.” Pikestar knew that he could’ve just had the test done tomorrow morning, but nobody likes a big test being abruptly dropped on them. That being said, the RiverClan leader would give Bluepaw a few days to prepare himself for what was to come. “Rest, and study up. Because I will not be helping you at all.” Obvious, but still worth reminding the eager apprentice. He would be on his own for his assessment.

{ I will most likely have Bluepaw’s warrior assessment started sometime next week, once we wrap this session up. }

/ ok! I'll see what I can do to make sure I remember! can I cramp it with my school stuff? lets find out! lol \

Bluepaw shook himself dry and lifted his head slightly at Pikestar's words and dropped back down, nodding, to scared to speak. His head shot up fast at the mention of his warrior assessment. "Yes, Pikestar! I will study and prepare myself as much as I can!" He shot off to camp, leaving his mentor in the dust. It was only till the white-furred tomcat was halfway to camp that he realized he forgot to ask Pikestar where he had come from.

➣ Silently, the tall RiverClan leader watched in amusement as Bluepaw almost immediately took off back to camp, clearly filled with adrenaline and obvious anticipation for his warrior ceremony. Pikestar couldn’t help but wonder if the white-furred apprentice was ready for such a task, and was fully prepared enough to become a true warrior of RiverClan. But after all their moons together, training and bonding, perhaps the oriental longhair was just being too paranoid. The sting from the open wound of his left front leg brought him out of his thoughts and he hissed in slight annoyance, lifting the paw off the ground. Before he could even think about the youth’s warrior assessment, they would have to get this looked at. Or else it would probably become a problem later on, without a doubt.

Inhaling a refreshing breath of air, Pikestar glanced around at the forest, which seemed to gently sway in the lingering breeze. Leaf-fall was right around the corner and the air was getting colder, as well as the leaves slowly beginning to change their colors. Pikestar liked this season and hoped he could go on many walks to enjoy watching the forest prepare itself for leafbare. For now though, it was time to head home for the day. With that decided, the dark-furred tomcat limped forward, starting down the familiar path through the undergrowth. It would take him a little longer to get back to camp than usual because of his leg, but it wasn’t like he was in any rush anyway.
( This post marks the official end of Bluepaw’s training. His warrior assessment will be done in a separate thread. )
