He had been watching the apprentice, watching..watching..before realizing the smaller cat seemed to have noticed him. Giving a soft blink of surprise, Speckleleap seemed to hesitate in how he responded to Cowpaw, seeing the silently asked question. Speckleleap knew his brother would’ve wanted the tom to socialize, attempt to try and bring himself to at least make one or two friends, but Speckleleap was hardly able to put up with more than one cat for a few moments. However, when his chest rose with a soft breath sucked in before it was let out, Speckleleap attempted a smile, a genuine smile, and nodded softly at Cowpaw. I’m good, you? was what he was trying to ask as Speckleleap lifted his paw and pointed towards the apprentice. It was a good first attempt, at least in his mind, as Speckleleap had hardly socialized with others in the last few days, though his shoulders relaxed slightly after that, keeping his genuine smile until Hemlockhill opened her maw. With a small pause, Speckleleap seemed to cast a glance around before he puffed out a light, breathy “we should head back, we shouldn’t go near them,” he didn’t trust that buzzing noise that he was also hearing, and Hemlockhills suspicions only fueled that.

A hum resonated from her vocals, drawing her closer to the long grass where the buzzing emerged. Her whiskers twitched with curiosity, a glint in her olive gems that dared to investigate further. After all, would she not want her clan-mates falling into the same predicament she had been in so many moons ago? She held her breath, but her paws did not press forwards to Fallen the grass ahead of her. Rather, the white shaded molly remained fixed in her place, glancing back over broad shoulders to catch the eye of Speckleleap.

Hemlockhill hummed.
Suppose he had been right; if it wasn’t another being impaled by the vicious stingers of the wasps, then it would certainly be them. And frankly? Hemlockhill wasn’t looking forward to it. So, she had allowed herself to be coaxed from the riverside, meeting back with her peers and delivering a courteous nod both Warrior and apprentice. “Alright,” The word slipped from her jaws in a exhale. Her paws shuffled against the hardened ground before beginning to saunter across the moorland. “I’ll report our findings to Wolffang, if he is available, then.” the image that flashed in her mind of the large tomcat made her shudder, though she quickly shook her head.

“Let’s go.”

For a moment Cowpaw was convinced Speckleleap was unable to interpret his gesture. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence - and he wasn't offended. It was just awkward. He was ready to offer up a forgiving smile but oh! The apprentice immediately brightened at the return of his gesture. Cowpaw grinned, raising his paw to lift it over his chin and then pull it away. Good!

Cowpaw followed along, tempted to ask Hemlockhill how she was doing but,, ,, she seemed content in her own world. As they came to a sudden halt the apprentice let out a yelp, stumbling over what seemed to be air. He shook his head, catching himself before he fell. Mismatched hues glanced up towards the warrior before Cowpaw gently shook his head. He couldn't hear any buzzing but that was to be suspected. He made a gesture to his floppy ears. His hearing was decent but sometimes a struggle. Yellowjackets? How interesting. Hehe,, silly names!!

Cowpaw would only nod in agreement with Speckleleap, this hadn't gone as bad as he thought! Relief rolled off his shoulders as Hemlockhill announced that they were be leaving. The tom was quick to follow suit after her, his feathery tail flickering back and forth as a sign of comfortableness.

As they fot into Sedgewater valley Stormpelt could hear tiny mews. @Rapid @Exis @Kingly (srry its not long)

Foxblaze trudged on, looking around for her babies. "Chivepaw!! Honeykit!!" she called but there was no sign of them. Nothing. No one.
