Hickorynight' she tail flicked slowly back and forth as she listened to the female. She talked rather quickly and seemed to never take a break. Once Weaselflight had finished, Hickorynight blinked her dim green eyes quickly, rather overwhelmed. To be honest, she only fought bits and pieces.
"Yes," she said quietly, hoping not to wake the whole forest with this conversation. "I am the new medicine cat." She didn't give any notice to the part about ThunderClan's great healer, Spottedleaf. It was nice of her to say, but, as usual, Shen had no idea how to respond.
Shuffling her paws rather nervousley, Hickorynight tried to recall the other parts that she had talked to her about. Oh yeah, the she-cats kits and greencough! At least she knew what to do now. No clan deserved to be raided by sickness, even if that clan was DuskClan.
"I would mind bring over some herbs." Hickorynight added after a moments pause. "I'm sure -star wouldn't mind." She looked over her shoulder at the catmint patch that she had begun to carefully tended to last summer. It was flourishing.
"Let me nip over and I'll be right back. It will only be a few seconds."

"thank you so much, also what are the signs of greencough. Because a lot of the clan is sick. And ScorchStar is not willing to accept help he is no coward. I should know he's my father. Melonkit hasn't been herself so I need to know the symptoms." Weaselflight asked.

Hickorynight watched the distressed queen. If she had kits, why was she out of the nursery? Oh, well, that was wasn't her problem.
"The signs? Fever, runny muzzle, cough, and a loss of appetite. But they can vary from cat to cat." It sounded as though she were reciting it from memory. She paused, and added,
"Would you like me to take a look at Melonkit?" Hopefully, it wasn't a bad case.

Hickorynight shrugged. Sure, ScorchStar might be a pain in the tail if she asked if she could enter his camp, but it was worth a try.
"I'm a medicine cat, remember. I'm allowed to go into your territory." He wouldn't be able to hurt her, less he fear the wrath of the rest of MoonClan. She was positive this would work, despite the odds.

"Okay, I'm going to go back to the nursery now, I'm not supposed to be here. I was-" Weaselflight cut herself off, Hickorynight didn't need to know what she was here for. "Umm...if you want you can come with me. Brackenflame (my mate) would love to meet you, and Melonkit needs you. So come on." Weaselflight walked back to camp and is waiting to see if Hickorynight was coming.

Hickorynight blinked once, startled. Well, she thought, that was a quick change of mind! Pleased nevertheless, that her idea had passed, she darted back to the catnip plants, nipped a few stems, and trotted quickly after Weaselflight, letting her take the lead to the camp. She would return for more if they were needed.

As Hickorynight entered the DuskClan, she watched as a tom cat immediately pad toward them. She held her head high, she was representing her clan. As Weaselflight and the cat, Brackenflame, conversed, the female took the time to look around. She was jolted out of her curiosity when she heard her escort introduce her to her mate.

"I-" but she was interrupted by Weaselflight 's hasty reply to calm Him. He didn't even seem angry after the DuskClan she spoke.
"No-No problem." She said, quite taken aback at the Leader's apology. He didn't stroke her as someone who would accept help so easily, or even apologize. "Do you have the sick cats separated from the rest of the clan?" She might as well get to work before He decided against his most recent decision.

"We don't know how to tell that they are sick." Replied ScorchStar. "And, the medicine cat doesn't really care much and the medicine cat apprentice isn't ready to become the medicine cat." Weaselflight backed him up. "Oof." Weaselflight turned around to see her kits. "What are you three doing." Weaselflight turned to them. "Mom who's that cat." Jaykit asked. "She's the MoonClan medicine cat." Weaselflight answered. "But, the elders told us stories that they were evil." Ashkit looked scared. And Melonkit just looked sick. "Hickorynight these are my kits, and that one to the left is Melonkit. Would you check to see if she's okay." Weaselflight asked, she was worried she didn't want her kit to take the same path her mother and brother took.
