She followed Beanstar to Cattail Pond, and left in search of prey at his orders. Her mouth was open, hoping to catch the scent of land prey, but she stuck near the water in case she saw fish.

A hunting competion! He scanned the gathering crowd in search of Gingerfrost. He would not let that stinky flea-brain take him out of another competition! He spotted the deputy close by and quietly hid behind the rest of his clanmates, hoping to stay out of view. Confident that the ginger tabby couldn't see him he got into his best hunting crouch and searched for any nearby prey. He couldn't wait to win this contest!

(I won't be mad if you have him fail literally every hunt since he has zero training)

He'd only just learned how to hunt, and even then he wasn't the best, but he was determined to give this a try. Wormbite was here as well, and while he was completely terrified of the tom, if he had questions, he would ask. Because Stonepaw was going to learn how to hunt if it was the last thing he'd do. Well, maybe not the last thing. Hunting was important, but what would the clan do without an herbalist? They had Marigoldleap and maybe Snowkit could help, but for now, they needed him.

Had he just said herbalist? Uh-oh, Mumblepaw was rubbing off on him. His head turned to look around as they arrived at Cattail Pond and he dropped down into a crouch. He'd catch something and he'd help his clan!

Darn it, he had missed! Paws splashed in the water and the fish darted away. Perhaps he should stick to land hunting, considering that's what he had learned, but trying to fish was so dang fun! For now, he'd just pace around the pond, keep an eye on both the pond and the reeds. He'd catch something! Promise!

Springpaw let out a groan as she missed her chance to hunt, she thought being sneaky was her thing! It was okay she couldn't let herself get frustrated so easily, maybe second times the charm? With that she got back into her crouch and search once more for prey.
