Toadstripe could be an adopted dad, he doesn't currently have a mate but he also has two daughters, Lilypaw and Acornpaw.

Maybe he and my Goldenclaw can have a weird sibling-friend-mentor dynamic? Goldenclaw is a pretty arrogant and Rash tom but I'm making plots for him to mellow out slightly over time. He also hates Dawnstar with a passion and aims to become leader of ShadowClan himself. Maybe he could take Smokepaw under his wing at some point? There's some more on him in my bio

Smokepaw hated Dawnstar too but there's some times that he admires her. Anyway, I would love that! He ended in a bad relationship with his old mentor before he died and he's been devastated with that. Maybe Goldenclaw could help with his depression.

Ok! Goldenclaw doesn't have the greatest relationship with his apprentice either (I don't actually know where they went?) So that could help too!
