"Students! Your first day of school has begun! Drop off is 8:55, Ten minutes passing time until homeroom! Homeroom today is used to introduce students, enjoy, be nice!"
A voice boomed from the intercom as the students entered the school, startling some, most just going on normally with their schedules which had been delivered a week before school had started.
Sam pulled on the sleeves of the too big hoodie they wore everyday, accepting the fact that it was stained and old, and made them look bad. So much for a good first day... They thought to themselves with a sigh. They had already prepared to be called Addison, and to be referred to as a girl. People were awkward when Sam told them they were neither boy nor girl so they kept to them self and accepted the title.

Jake made his way to homeroom. He entered the class and found a seat. He rolled up his sleeves of his white sweatshirt and leaned back in his chair

Sam didn't stop at their locker, bringing their old bag with them to the homeroom classroom. They pushed open the door with a little effort, it was big and they weren't the least bit strong. They stared at the ground, glancing up through their eyelashes to quickly find a seat, sinking into it quietly. Many things ran through their head What if my contacts fall out? My glasses aren't with me today, I wouldn't be able to see... What if I drop my supplies everywhere, what if I dirty my hoodie and am forced to take it off? They shivered at the last thought, tugging at the sleeves of their hoodie once again

Sam slipped a half full notebook out of their bag, opening it on their desk and flipping to the next available page. They pulled out a pencil and ran it along the page in delicate strokes. They didn't know what they were drawing exactly, letting their hand do the work rather than their brain. They soon realized they were drawing a common character of theirs, a curly haired guard boy who fell in love with a faun who seemed to be the one who could understand a deal with his issues.
Sam sighed at how much of a life story they had given a drawing, but they couldn't help it, they loved the romance involved. A slight smile formed on their face as the continued doodles of the curly haired boy.

[Hallowed Echo]

Alexander rushed to Homeroom, keeping his head down as he weaved through the flooded halls. He said entered the room and took an empty seat behind Kait. He took out a sketchbook and a pencil, and started sketching a river otter.

Hope wasn't far behind her brother, but kept bumping into people. She made it to Homeroom and sat by Alexander. She fiddled his her necklace before taking a book out to read.

Jake popped a piece of gum in his mouth.

"Okay, class has begun, though I'm sure some students will be coming late as it looks a tad bit empty. But today that will be okay since its the first day but any other day someone comes in late without a slip you will stay after class and write an essay to explain why you came late to my class!" A grumpy man said from behind his desk, pushing his ugly-old fashioned glasses up his nose. "Anyway, today we will do introductions. You will stand; say your name, if you've lived here a while, and a little about yourself. Simple enough..." His eyes scanned the classroom. "Who would like to go first? Otherwise I'll pick."

Sam sunk back into their chair, trying to hide themselves from the teacher. With how unlucky they were they'd be picked first.
