Sharppaw'a tail still hurt, but he was gonna be a part of this. He padded over, watching for other cats.

Emberpaw padded forward slowly, taking a seat by the younger apprentice. She gave him a nod before fixing her gaze on Mushroompaw.

☼ Brightpaw (she/they/he) ☼

➢ The lean tortoiseshell apprentice padded forward with half-lidded eyes and their ears twitching with slight interest. They had heard about this so-called kitten and apprentice event where everyone would be practicing defense moves. Anything pertaining to training of any sort took Brightpaw’s intrigue, so it was no real surprise that she had shown up to this. The Thunderclan youth needed all the experience he needed, even if it meant interacting with his competition and little kids - though Brightpaw was fresh out of the nursery themselves, being barely seven moons old. They were practically still a kid too, though they had the sheer determination to prove themselves to be even more than that. Brightpaw sat down, a little away from everyone else, but not by much to show they were apart of the crowd to be in the event. He had no intention of mingling idly, becoming focused.

Sharppaw looked over at Emberpaw. He smiled at her and followed her gaze to another apprentice.

(Sorry this took so long! Also very sorry for the mass ping cause I didn't realize until imp pointed it out that I'd pinged the whole TC and not the small group of people that qualified cause,, well no excuse except Fawnhearted is stupid haha)

Mushroompaw smiled, he was actually really happy that people had turned up! They bobbed their head in excitement as his brother, Sheeppaw, congratulate him. Okay, now it was time to divide up the groups!

Group 1 : Sharppaw ( @Firebender ) and Daykit ( @Brightlight )
Group 2 : Brightpaw ( @masquerade ) and Nightkit ( @/brightlight )
Group 3 : Emberpaw ( @RiztheHuntress ) and Larchkit ( @Kunaiskrill )
Group 4 : Rainpaw ( @luminous ) and Larkkit ( @Wintermist )
Group 5 : Sheeppaw ( @Skycloud ) and Crowpaw ( @GoldenDays )
Group 6 : Mushroompaw (yours truly) and Wishkit ( @Clock Dragonshifter )

Now that the groups were assigned, Mushroompaw began to explain the event, the smile still on their face.

"What's going to happen is that you all are gonna take turns practicing defensive moves! Cat B (the kit, or second cat listed), will attack! The other has to do their best to stop them, beforehand, I'll demonstrate the defense I want you to try! Oh, and claws sheathed, mind you!"

Making sure the area around him was cleared, he demonstrated the first move, a simple block by holding up your front paw. Turning back, he gave the kits and apprentices a few moments to practice, before shouting, "Let the event begin!"

All Cat A's (the first cats mentioned, highlighted in Blue), will need to post a roleplay post, letting their teammate know they've 'attacked' and all Cat B's (second in the list, highlighted in Red) must post their defensive attack! Please pay attention to what move Mushroompaw demonstrated!

Mushroompaw | 6 Moons | They/He

"You ready?", Mushroompaw gave Wishkit a friendly nudge as they approached his younger clanmate. Hopefully the event wouldn't be too hard on the kits. "I'm gonna 'attack' you in a moment, so you get ready to defend, okay?"

He waited until he was sure the kit grasped the concept, before raising a sheathed paw in an 'attacking' motion, waiting for the younger cat to defend.

➢ The green-eyed tortie watched the tomcat apprentice as he divided all of them into pairings, their ear twitching as they were paired with a shekit named Nightkit. Interesting. Brightpaw’s narrow gaze slid over to the black-furred kitten, who had come to the event with her brother, Daykit. How sweet. Rolling their eyes, the Thunderclan apprentice stood up, stretching out their front paws and uttering a low yawn before focusing on the task now put in front of them. “Alright, Nightkit, are you ready for me to ‘attack’ you?” Brightpaw meowed, smirking slightly as they awaited for the shekit to come over to them, “Don't forget the first move that the walking toadstool demonstrated.” The multi-colored youth was all about battle training, wanting to be the best and know the best when it came down to it. They wouldn’t be rough with a child, no, that was Grimhound’s thing.

Once the whole event officially started, Brightpaw raised one of their paws (unsheathed, of course) above their head and slowly brought it down towards Nightkit, watching closely to make sure the little kit defended herself.

Crow’paw searched around for Sheep’paw, what even was a sheep? It was a weird word on his tongue. What did a sheep look like?
Well maybe he could ask Sheep’paw, she must have seen one if it’s part of her name right? He’d certainly seen a few crows in his short time.
His tail flicked around as he gazed before the small clearing

The fluffy black kit crouched down in what she thought was a defensive stance her fur fluffed up in what she thought was 'threatening' as her feathery white tail swayed back and forth. Mushroompaw raised his paw to attack as he swiped at her the small kit dodged to the side with a smile.
