Rump in the air, he gave a nod at the reminder...though he didn't know how long it'll stay in his head. That worried him. When Dimtail said go, he ran like a mouse that was running from its hunter. Or tired to.. His paws were barely a blur..but half way through, he almost made it look like so! But his throat was starting to burn...it was tightening too and he hated it. He was almost there until he tripped over himself . It sent him tumbling into the heather patch leaving him dizzy and on his side. Coughing and heaving more than once ....yeah he wasn't a runner...that was for sure..

He darted towards him when Skypaw tripped and rolled. He'd been doing very well until that. "Hey, hey. You alright? Any scrapes or soreness?"
Perhaps running would be a good idea for the mornings, but more for endurance than speed. Speed didn't matter if he couldn't run for long.
Dimtail gently helped him up as needed, careful of the parts of him that had landed into the ground.

The Tan feline huffed and puffed as he sat himself down in front of his mentor, ears angled forwards as she started to speak. Nodding as she spoke. Shoulders slumping as she mentioned running. The bane of his existence. Once she finished Honeypaw nodded once more and tilted his head to the side. "What do you mean specifically when you said Playing around?" he asked. "I really don't know much. Most of what I know is what I've seen other's do. And even than it's just what I remember." he quickly injected.

Rubbing his front paws against the dried grass below him the Tabby shot the ground a worried glance. "That and I'm not sure if I'd be able to remember it all...everything I've seen my Clanmates do seems so complicated. It looks like so many different steps go into it." he said.

"Playing around, claws sheathed and be careful with your fangs. If you played with littermates or other kits we'll be fighting like that." Midnightstalker explained answering his question. "I'm not going teaching you any moves just yet. I wanna get a feel for how you fight. Nothing complicated." She purred patiently. "When I do teach you something we'll practice until you're comfortable before moving on. Plus most of the harder stuff you see warriors doing comes purely from muscle memory."

Midnightstalker began cleaning some dirt out of the crevice of her paw. "Our body remembers stuff too, not just our brains." She grinned, she flexes her claws before setting her pad back down on the ground. "I think hunting harder then fighting. Gotta watch every little step, watch your tail, judge your leap and so on. But I'm sure you'll get the hang of all this in no time." She chipped reassuringly. "Got anything else you wanna ask or you ready to go?"

Standing up on wobbly legs , coughing a few more times "n..ngh...I'm fine. Throats a bit sore..." he gasped out. Shaking himself off he gave him a thankful glance "sorry..." he mumbled .he was a it embarrassed but cats normally didn't get anything right on the first time...right? "looks like rabbits are out of the picture .."

There wasn't really anything that Twistedpaw could do, so instead, she awkwardly shifted her paws and looked up at the Breezerock once more.

"You should be alright, I'll give you a moment to catch your breath." He offered, which was abruptly interrupted by a chortle at his comment about the rabbits.
"The rabbits wont be going anywhere for quite some time." He stifled a yawn, wondering if he should bring up his plans for endurance running now or after they hunted.

Stretching himself out the tom gave a yawn himself. Sighing at the rabbit part "so.....what now? I'm good to keep going " he meowed with a tail swish.

"Hm, so hunting, still? In which case, we'll likely need to get close to the Thunderclan border. A lot of rodents stray out of the forest into the moors to scavenge. They're usually a decent catch."

This new set of mentors went a bit better than the last. Now that she got all of those cats out of the way time to see if the clan was up for some games. Before she could get the words out, Fernpaw came darting out of wherever. The leader shot a cold glare at her with a frown. "Sorry catches no rabbits." Twilightstar scolded her. "I really should be kicking out of my clan." Everyone else managed to make it here on time.

Fernpaw's head and tail drooped "I was just hunting for some food for the clan. In thanks for accepting me into your clan. I caught a rabbit for you. It's by the entrance, but if you don't want me here, I can leave now. I'll leave the prey. she said in a quiet, defeated voice. "I really am sorry." she started to slowly back towards the entrance.
