Echokit's dusty pelt fluffed up as he saw the tom who was calling for their mother. The kit looked over his siblings and realized some of them looked like the tom but he didn't say anything, instead he sat up and watched him curiously. If he's our father why does he never visit? He thought, glancing over at his mother before returning his gaze to the tom. He couldn't help but think of reasons why the tom just had to be their father and why he'd never shown up. Surely he was only busy with important things, but then again, what is more important than your kits? The tom kit shuffled his paws and in his head pleaded the tom to look at him. Why won't he look at me? At us? Is there something wrong with us?

Stormkit raced after Remorakit, managing to keep a tail length behind . she tried to go faster, and the undersized she-kit put on a burst of speed, only to trip over her own paws and fall on her chest with a thud. The breath was knocked out of her, and she scrambled to her paws, trying to catch up with the gray she-kit.

Remora glanced back upon hearing a thud and lost their lead, stumbling slightly before attempting to regain their speed. Mousedung! They turned and continued running, but they were barely a nose ahead when they neared the end.
